Me and the girls enjoyed a beautiful day out at Surfers Paradise today. It was picture perfect weather with a lovely breeze blowing. We’re trying to make the most of the school hols and are blessed to live within driving distance of such a beautiful beach (a looong drive today!🤪).

I’m in my studio making another batch of my tallow balm in preparation for the Brisbane Organic Growers market on tomorrow all day at the Albion Peace Centre in Windsor. It’s a once a year event and attracts some great crowds and stalls! You’ll find me outside the main hall fully stocked with soaps, balms and candles. All completely free of synthetic fragrances and colours. Made naturally with butters, botanicals and oils and safe for even those with the most sensitive skin.

My daughters love using this botanical oil as a hair treatment, they add two drops and rub in their hands and apply all over. I was also told this weekend that it had healed cracked heels in only a few days. I’m currently using it on my throat to see if it can help reduce thyroid nodules (along with castor oil). The cold mechanical extraction process used to produce the apricot and peach oils is unbeatable for preserving the benefits of the oils. I recently placed another order for these amazing oils from India and was told that they are thrilled at how well this product is selling. Every bottle goes towards helping these women in the Kumaon Himalayas to be self sufficient and provide for their families. If you’d like to read more there’s a whole page about it on my website. The chickens were enjoying some beautiful weather today and some stale sourdough bread. The chicken on the left is Hattie who my friend gifted us when we built our first coop. She’s got some grey hairs now but was feisty and still first in line for the breadcrumbs today. I love this season so much. We get to enjoy sunshine throughout the day and snuggle up to the fire at night.

Today is a day for getting little jobs done, including cutting a batch of Australiana soap and my new Lemongrass & Cedarwood soap. I need to collect more jars for honey and tallow balm and start the preparation for the weekend when my twins will celebrate their 13th birthday with friends and family. Time flies!!

My tallow soap is now available on my website and also for stockists too! It’s a beautifully creamy bar with only a handful of ingredients, making it my simplest bar soap yet (ironically it took me the longest time to formulate!). I have also added a tallow set to my website where if you buy the tallow balm you get the soap half price!
