Hello lovely Springer Rescue for Scotland followers 👋

We are super busy at the moment, and as always we try to take all dogs that we can. This includes dogs who have pre-existing medical conditions, those who are surrendered because the owners can’t afford a required treatment or operation, or those that once they come into SRS we discover something at the routine vet check while in foster.

As you’ll all know, vet charges are increasing every year - and as we rescue more dogs, this is a double whammy for us.

We work with some amazing and generous vets, but the costs are still eye watering.

We fundraise hard, and our volunteers are amazing, but it’s not enough.

Really don’t know what to say in this post to be honest.

Our beautiful Lily pops went to rainbow 🌈 bridge this afternoon. 💔💔

She became very unwell on Tuesday night and spent the day yesterday and overnight in the vets with no signs of any blockages, obstructions or anything really. Millions of tests, scans and x rays revealed nothing. The vet thinks it’s been some form of very aggressive cancer. However she was so distressed we had to make the hardest decision in doing the right thing for her. 💔💔💔💔

We adopted her from springer rescue Scotland just under two years ago and she was something else. When people say springers are mental she was the poster child! To be fair she was a sprollie but we don’t talk about that.

We adopted her a year after losing rebus and lady and I’m sure rebus had a hand in finding us the most crazy mental dog he could find to keep us on our toes.

Run free our beautiful baby girl. Go chase those birdies, you will definitely catch one one day. Love you puppy dog 💚💚💚

Hi everyone

Just want to highlight a couple of small changes we are making to the running of the business.

Going forward drop offs will only be between 5-6pm

Pick up times must be arranged at drop off and set pick times will be arranged then.

Please ensure that your emergency contact is available for the duration of your holiday and that they are aware we require them to pick up if you are delayed in returning from your holiday.
