Matt Drake started taking photographs as a very young boy with the encouragement of his grandfather. Growing up, Matt's family had a cabin in Yosemite, and Ansel Adams was an early favorite and inspiration to him. Matt's love for photography lead him to New York University as a Photography major, a handful of gallery showing, a stint on a local newspaper in Northern Idaho, and numerous commercial gigs. Been a busy fall! Opened last Friday a show of 100+ prints at the Thompson-Giroux Gallery in Chatham, NY. Partnering with my best friend here, Jim Carroll, who is a phenomenal illustrator. Show runs through 11/13 and will be available for viewing online soon.

When you’re in the fight of your life, you need the best team supporting you. The best doctors, nurses, family and especially friends. And this guy right here, Jim Carroll, has been supporting me for years. Through all my ups and downs over the past 20 years, Jim has stuck by my side with unwavering faith and loyalty. We can talk about anything or nothing and enjoy it just the same.
