HISTORY IN THE MAKING...

Kingsley becomes the FIRST Samoyed, and only the third all breeds dog in Australia, to earn the Working Pack Dog Excellence (WPDX) title!

Yesterday, he completed the final leg to be eligible for the title, which is no small feat.
▪︎ 64km hIke over 2 days
▪︎ Camping out overnight in the forest
▪︎ Dog setting out carrying 30% of their own body weight as water & food, only reduced by natural consumption
▪︎ Humans carrying all their own camping gear, food, and water.
▪︎ Complete self-sufficiency

Tansy attended a mock trial and gave the latest Dogs Australia sport, Sprint Dog, a go. Not only was it heaps of fun, the photographer also captured these great shots!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of our dogs try out this new sport soon!

First leg for Doulton & second leg for Kingsley of the Working Pack Dog Excellence title now complete, with King set to complete his title next month with his third and final leg. The achievement is no small feat, especially for the humans in the team.

✅️64km hiked
✅️Camp overnight in the forest (completely self-sufficient)
✅️Carry everything you need
✅️Dogs carry 30% of their body weight in food and/or water, which can be consumed along the way by the dogs only.
✅️Humans carry their own food, water & camping equipment. If they don't carry it the 64km, they can not use it, eat it, or wear it.

There are waaayyy too many things to put in this post. So here are the highlights!

We've plunged straight into 2024 by welcoming our next Grand Champion!

picked up his final points for his grand earlier in the year.

Soon after, our newest neuter finished her title with just a handful of shows, picking up her first BEST NEUTER IN SHOW along the way.

adds yet another title to her name!
Juneau is proudly owned, loved & handled by Keelin Murphy.

We've been to a few shows, various dogs picking up points and group awards. The trialling team has continued to punch out some great results, including mother & son duo, Winter & Buddy, with Jason at the helm, recently earning passes at another trick trial. Lots of training going on in the background on so many fronts.

We have also had great news on health tests with Milo down in Victoria getting great results for both his hip & elbows and eye tests.
