HISTORY IN THE MAKING...

Kingsley becomes the FIRST Samoyed, and only the third all breeds dog in Australia, to earn the Working Pack Dog Excellence (WPDX) title!

Yesterday, he completed the final leg to be eligible for the title, which is no small feat.
▪︎ 64km hIke over 2 days
▪︎ Camping out overnight in the forest
▪︎ Dog setting out carrying 30% of their own body weight as water & food, only reduced by natural consumption
▪︎ Humans carrying all their own camping gear, food, and water.
▪︎ Complete self-sufficiency

Tansy attended a mock trial and gave the latest Dogs Australia sport, Sprint Dog, a go. Not only was it heaps of fun, the photographer also captured these great shots!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of our dogs try out this new sport soon!

First leg for Doulton & second leg for Kingsley of the Working Pack Dog Excellence title now complete, with King set to complete his title next month with his third and final leg. The achievement is no small feat, especially for the humans in the team.

✅️64km hiked
✅️Camp overnight in the forest (completely self-sufficient)
✅️Carry everything you need
✅️Dogs carry 30% of their body weight in food and/or water, which can be consumed along the way by the dogs only.
✅️Humans carry their own food, water & camping equipment. If they don't carry it the 64km, they can not use it, eat it, or wear it.

And not to be forgotten, Khiva finished the first half of his Working Pack Dog Novice title this weekend, too! Completing his first and second leg of four with ease!

Did you know that the new babies at Ahzu HQ are MY babies!?

I'll be at Ahzu HQ this weekend to welcome new families and help mumma Bella decide if one of our puppies will go home with you.
So make sure to give me a good handshake and lots of cuddles.
