Mom and I have been busy. We have a new family member. This is 8 month old and 70lbs of lunk head Todd. I'm still undecided on mom rescuing him but we continue to train this youngster and he is getting a bit more tolerable. We both like blueberries!

Can you find the chipmunk I'm intently staring at? After my porcupine incident mom isn't letting me chase any kind of animal no matter where I see it. I'm allowed to look but not touch. This chippie was so surprised to see us out here in the bush as we walked. It was cautious but curious. I was curious too and wanted to get it!

Mom sends her apologies. She hasn't been keeping up to date with her group postings, mine included. She says she lost her oomph over the last few months and didn't feel like doing photos all that much. She'll try and do better she says. But....... yard work is now here soon to be followed by gardening so she may lapse a bit.
We both have been busy with her trail cameras and collecting the cards from them. Lots of trails to hike for that! If you want to see her trail camera videos go to Cathy Gauthier Trail Camera Videos and join up. It is a private group so you'll need to join.

On October 22nd I decided to bite a porcupine. That was a BIG mistake on my part! I ran back to mom with a muzzle and mouth full of quills. Mom said she pulled out around 30 quills. We went to the vet the next day and he pulled out another 15-20 that were all inside my mouth that mom couldn't see. I had to get knocked out for the vet to get them all. Some quills couldn't get pulled out so mom watched each day and over time she was able to pull out 5 more. The last quill she pulled out was on November 6th. It took a long time to start feeling better but everything is good now, I feel fine. Mom says she'd bet money on me biting into a porcupine again so she is keeping me close to her when we are in the area that the porcupine resides in.

It's the beginning of October and it is still hot out. We just did a big hike in town and I'm hot and thirsty. Mom nee...
