This page is to help Deb and Denise collect great photos for their newest (4th) book in the Dog Sports Skills Series. What we will do is describe the photo we are looking for, and then you can "comment" in that thread with your possible photo submission. Here is what you need to know to submit a photo to the thread:
1) There is no compensation provided to those who submit photos
2) You must have a
ccess to a photo that is clear and reasonably high quality. Please check the resolution BEFORE you submit a photo for consideration - it saves all of us a lot of time:).
3) The person submitting the photo for consideration must be the photographer! If you are not, you will need to ask the photographer to submit the photo to us directly, with a note saying that it may be used without compensation. This is a legal issue and we must follow this rule.
4) You may submit as many as you want! We are going to be looking for as much variety in breeds, sizes and shapes as possible.
5) If we want to use your photo, we will send you a private message (pm). You must check your "other" folder if we are not your friend of FB!
6) at that point we'll ask you to send the full resolution copy to us directly.
7) it is common that we ask for a photo to use, but then in the process of preparing for printing, an issue arises so we cannot use the photo. Please accept our apologies.
8) We will use hundreds of photos so we cannot follow up with each individual about the status of their photo. Think of it as a great surprise - when the book comes out you can check and see if your photo is there!
9) We used many of your submitted photos for our last book and we were incredibly happy with the results. So thank you to all of the generous people who took the time to make our book much more beautiful by submitting your fabulous photos!
