The Beagle Team

We are a team of rescued beagles and a rabbit. Hans came to us in May of 2016 at the age of 11 1/2 and with chronic hepatitis. We were his foster parents and strongly advocated for him to receive the care he needed, both vetting and meds. In May of 2017 we decided it was best to adopt him in order to assure Hans would receive the timely, appropriate care he deserved. In November Hans was given a clean bill of health. He continues to take his denamarin and ursodiol along with his suppliments like a champ!

Maxxy came to us in September of 2013 when he was 5. He was recently surrendered to our local shelter. He was not doing well at that shelter and was showing signs of being “resource protective”. The shelter contacted us to see if we would be willing to give him a second chance in our home. Upon meeting Maxx, our hearts melted, and it was obvious he would not make out in the shelter well, we brought him home that day. Aside from allergies, Maxxy is healthy. We clean his ears 2-3 times a week to stay on top of them and he takes a probiotic to help with his yeast balance.

Wilson is our youngest pup, but was our first. Wilson was rescued as a pup from a hoarder/breeder situation that did not end well. He came to us at the age of 2. From the beginning we knew Wilson was special. He was incredibly empathetic and had a great nose for scent, but was always walking into things. Wilson has a degenerative condition that is slowly causing him to go blind, more than likely due to his breeding, otherwise, he too is healthy and takes his probiotic everyday.

Last, but not least is our bunny Buck. Some people think its odd we have three beagles and a rabbit, but for us it is our life! Buck was our first shelter rescue. He was an Easter gift that ended up at the shelter a few months later. We knew the moment we saw him we could do better by him. He brought him home at the age of 6 months. He was not socialized and is fearful of men, but we have worked with him ever since to provide him a safe and secure environment. He is healthy and happy and does some of the best “binkies” and “flop and drops” any bunny has ever seen!
