Elkhorn Ranch is a traditional guest ranch/dude ranch located in wilderness of the Arizona Baboquivari Mountains, about 50 miles southwest of Tucson. The 3rd and 4th generation Miller Family welcomes everyone – of all ages and riding abilities - for a week or more of unexcelled horseback riding, hiking, swimming, relaxing and enjoying family hospitality amidst the beautiful Sonoran Desert. into your private casita and tailor your vacation to find the right balance of adventure and relaxation away from the demands of your everyday life. Delicious meals are provided with close attention to dietary needs of each guest (and covid-19 protocols). Couples, families, retirees, individuals, and multi-generational groups can all enjoy their time at this ranch. Open from mid-November through April, guests typically stay for one week, and many winter visitors settle in for longer stays. Elkhorn Ranch is an active member and contributor to the Altar Valley Conservation Alliance working to preserve and restore this beautiful part of the country. Howdy all! Fall clean up is ramping up and the gals are busy getting the kitchen all shined up and ready for our incoming 2024-25 crew. ✨ We thought this would be a great time to do a little crew spotlight on one of our good friends and long time staff member Shanon! Shanon worked at Elkhorn a number of years ago and came back last year as our hospitality manager. She is an avid hiker and just completed a Grand Canyon rim to rim adventure! 💪Shanon is a mom and new grandmother (she prefers the nickname Pippie to Grandma 😉) and is accompanied on her adventures by her partner in crime Phoebe. 🐩
We can’t wait to start this season and introduce you to the rest of our crew who keep this place running shipshape!

Our Story

Elkhorn Ranch is a traditional guest ranch located about one hour southwest of Tucson, Arizona in the Baboquivari Mountains. The ranch is open from mid-November through the end of April. The Miller Family welcomes couples, singles, and families to their home for a week or more of horseback riding, family hospitality, and Sonoran desert adventuring.
