Everyone always talks about their dogs being afraid of thunder and lightning and loud noises, bags flying etc. The truth is we all humans and animals alike have oh s*** moments where we startle that is not something to be ashamed of or worried about it's how we recover from what startled or scared us that makes or breaks us. Some dogs are born that are more sound sensitive than others but in reality most of this is done by us being well-meaning compassionate humans who in reality if our child or a friend startles or has a fear we comfort them usually with a hug a soft word or holding them. But when we comfort an animal that has a startle reaction we have then told them that their startle reaction is justified and that instills in them the fear. This is a video done this past New Year's Eve with the puppies. The fireworks were very loud outside the room the window was open so that the puppies would hear the noise but not be directly affected by it as you can see a couple of them startled but then they all went back to being normal that is what you want you want to allow them to startle reflex and allow them to recover it's far easier to train them as puppies to self regulate than it is to deal with puppies or dogs hiding in a closet ripping up blinds tearing down the Walls trying to get away from that which scares them because we have taught them that they are supposed to be afraid.

Puppies are 3 weeks old just moved into their new area and already using the alfalfa pellets in the box at the back this helps train them and prepare them for using grass the alfalfa pellets are safe for them to eat and also keep the area smelling good no paper and very little mess and yes they are crying because Mommy is outside the pen because the video cannot be made if mommy is in there with them
