This is a great continuing education seminar for our local K9 facilities to send their employees as well as regular dog owners to build their relationship and sharpen skills!

Here’s what participants can expect:
Importance of Play and Engagement: Jay explains how play helps build a bond between dogs and their owners. Different types of play can teach and reinforce behaviors, keeping dogs engaged and making training fun and effective.
Foundational Skills and Obedience: The seminar covers basic obedience and essential behaviors needed for successful training. These skills are taught through structured play sessions.
Drive and Motivation for Sports: Jay introduces techniques for dog sports like weight pulling, agility, dock diving, and protection sports. Participants learn how to build and manage a dog’s drive and motivation, along with sport-specific commands and training techniques.
Physical Conditioning and Safety: Jay provides routines and exercises to keep dogs in top condition, emphasizing injury prevention and safety. Understanding a dog’s body language is also highlighted.
Behavior Modification Techniques: The seminar addresses behavioral issues like aggression, anxiety, and excessive barking. Jay teaches how to assess behavior, identify root causes, and use positive reinforcement to encourage good behaviors.
