Welcome!

Thanks for visiting! I create portraits, landscapes and commissioned art. Since I could first hold a crayon, I’ve been drawing as a way to express my deep love and respect for nature and animals. After highschool, I was granted a scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute and received a B.A. with honors in Graphic Design from Webster University.

My first job was as a Designer at Fruit of the Loom working with companies such as Disney and Warner Brothers. This led to a long career designing children's licensed products, and I had the honor of visiting Skywalker Ranch, DC comics, and many other "Inner Child" companies! I retired from Graphic Design at Mead as a Creative Director managing a wonderful department of talented individuals. I now have the luxury and joy to pursue my first love of drawing custom portraits and fine art.

My work has been published in Ann Kullberg's "Colored Pencil; Cats & Dogs" Art Instruction book. I have donated art to silent auctions, charities and to special needs children in a way to help the needs of animals and the community. It is a joy to create something unique and special for a client; an heirloom drawing to cherish and hand down through generations. Working in colored pencils, watercolors and oils, I strive to capture the energy and personality of each subject in a realistic way. I am excited to work with each of you to honor your loved ones in a special custom portrait.
