Happy Small Business Saturday! We want to know who your favorite pet-related small businesses are. We're always looking to expand our network of referrals, recommendations, and places to stock up on supplies, so let us know about favorite groomers, vets, supply stores, etc that you love. We'd especially love to know if any of them are running some cool deals this weekend.
Also, as we are in the Season of Giving, we want to know your favorite pet and animal rescues that you support and would like to see us support. Pet Playcations has a passion for working with rescues and non-profits, sending regular donations, collaborating on and sponsoring events, and is even part of a program called 1% For the Planet, where 1% of our gross revenue goes towards environmental and ecological initiatives to keep our planet and ecosystems healthy. 🌎🐶😺🐦🐍🦎 We're looking to the end of the year and begining of 2025, and are especially looking for rescues and non-profits to partner with on a few fun events and initiatives we've been brainstorming behind the scenes; leave a comment or send a message if you know any that you think would be a good fit! 💕

After your morning snuggles with your furry friends, swing on over to the Meridian Ranch Rec Center and check out this year's Festival of Trees! They have 55 trees and 11 wreaths you can stroll through and bid on to take home, benefiting so many amazing non-profits. We had a great time creating our tree this year, with many ornaments of the critters we care for daily. Our tree proceeds will be donated to the incredible All Breed Rescue and Training this year!

Thanksgiving Pet Care Tips! 🐾

The holidays are full of fun and feasting, but let’s keep it safe for our furry friends! Here are some tips from Pet Playcations for a pet-friendly Thanksgiving:

Keep the Treats Pet-Friendly: Turkey (in small amounts) is fine, but avoid giving them skin, bones, or rich foods like stuffing and gravy. They can upset sensitive tummies!

Guard the Goodies: Pets are pros at snagging treats! Make sure food and desserts are out of reach, and remind guests not to share.

Create a Calm Spot: With guests and excitement, it can get overwhelming for pets. Set up a quiet space with their favorite toys and bed for when they need a break.

Keep an Eye on the Door: With people coming and going, make sure your pet doesn’t slip outside unexpectedly.

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving with your whole family—two- and four-legged! 🧡
