Not everyone feels on top of the world at this time of year. But did you know there’s a Swansea Bay telephone service aimed at supporting mental health?

Call 111 Option 2 puts you in direct contact with a team of mental health professionals based at Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Just ring NHS Wales 111 and choose Option 2.

The service is available for anyone in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot with a mental health concern, including relatives.

Call 111 Option 2 runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering a triage service, support, or signposting as appropriate.

We ended the year with a mantrailing session at Sunnybanc farm, a super interesting and challenging environment. It’s extremely rare to have the opportunity to trail this close to cattle so we made the most of that plus some high finds and door ID’s.

Ziggy had a little go and was actually quite good (falling over comes as standard). Some bloopers left in.

Thought we’d finish with a nice run on the beach until we noticed Jack’s paw was pouring with blood when we stopped for a photo 🤦🏼‍♀️ (not Barkour related, my dogs just love to break themselves 🫠)

Our Story...

Hello! My name is Rose and I have a passion for all things dog and nose work!

Discovery Dogs was inspired my now two year old Springer Spaniel and soul mate, Ziggy. The pink theme is for my four year old daughter (and boss) Pixie. We also have one year old ESS Bowie and 5 month old Sprocker Jack. We are all mad here!

I have been working alongside dogs for over three years participating in a variety of k9 activities, having had the opportunity to experience so many different types of dog sport I quickly realised that scent work and man trailing is where is my passion and fascination lies. Most of our spare time is spent man trailing, attending or hosting seminars or reading our favourite book, The Kocher Method. This is the method of Mantrailing we teach and use. Trailing with us is all for fun, bonding and confidence building with your pet dogs. We would one day like to gain enough experience and knowledge to become operational and assist with search and rescue.
