Yesterday we found out that our sweet boy Bentley crossed the rainbow bridge. His parents made the difficult decision to say goodbye to him after discovering he had fast spreading oral cancer.

Bentley joined our pack in January 2020 just before the pandemic. He was with us for our pandemic beach days, we have so many wonderful memories of him during that time. He had such a goofy personality and the first picture above is one of our favorites from that entire summer.

When Bentley became unable to join us for our long walks we were incredibly happy to keep him as a part of our family through boarding. We are so grateful we had the pleasure of having him stay with us this past November, we will always treasure those last memories with him.

We loved Bentley so much and will forever miss him and his adorable little snorting sounds.

Happy belated Birthday to our handsome Boy Scout! He turned 5 yesterday and although we didn’t see him then we are so happy to celebrate with him today and give him his birthday hugs and kisses 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Love you Scout!

In 2017 I was working for another dog walking company and was asked if I wanted to board a French Bulldog. I was warned that she was feisty and she would be a lot of work. I love all bully’s so I immediately said yes. I had no idea that I would be sitting here over 7 years later absolutely heartbroken to know I will never get the chance to see that feisty frenchy again.

Yesterday Nessa’s parents made the decision to say goodbye to her after she got very sick and they discovered she had a cancerous tumor on her heart and cancer in her lungs. It all happened so quickly and I will forever hate that I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye.

If you knew Nessa, you knew she was a fierce warrior queen in the body of a little dog. She bowed down to no one and made you earn a place in her heart but once you were in, it was a love like no other. Kat, Niall and I always felt so lucky to love her and be loved by her.

Although she was not ours she was a huge part of our family, growing up along side Siobhan. Every time she stayed with us she would choose Siobhan’s room as her favorite spot and together the two girls were the Sleeping Club.

As I went through all my pictures and videos of Nessa I couldn’t stop laughing through the tears. She was so photogenic and had such an amazing wardrobe we couldn’t resist any photo ops with her. I’ve done my best to whittle down what I have but it’s been difficult as every memory feels too important not to share.

Our team loves to give the dogs voices and to us Nessa always sounded like Roz from Monsters Inc. I know in my heart that just like Roz, Nessa is with us and is always watching ♥️

We’ll miss you everyday of our lives Neza and you will always be a part of our Ruff’s Family, we’ll love you forever ♥️

To Jonathon and Nadine, I cannot express my gratitude to you for trusting us with Nessa, letting us be a part of your lives and giving us your unwavering support and generosity from the moment we started our own company. All I can say is thank you, thank you so much for everything ♥️

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Kat’s sweet baby boy Stanley. He had recently become sick and unfortunately his heart began to fail and there was nothing that could be done for him.

Despite his tiny size, Stanley had a huge personality and was one of the strongest pups you’d ever meet. He never let losing his eye or his leg hold him back, if anything he became spunkier than ever. We loved whenever he joined us on our walks and helped us keep the pack in line with his little barks and howls. He lived 15 beautiful years with Kat and her family and we are all just grateful to know that he is now reunited with his brother Nauti-Boy over the rainbow bridge. We’ll love and miss you forever Stanley.

In our last post we shared what an amazing week we had just had and we had no idea it was about to be followed by a grueling week for the Ruff’s Family. It started off with some car trouble which was quickly followed by the flu from hell. We are on the mend now and happy to get back to our regular routine tomorrow but we wanted to say thank you so much to all of our amazing clients for being so understanding about cancellation’s and schedule changes. Stay healthy everyone!

We are sad to share that yesterday we were informed that our sweet Toby passed away over the weekend. Although we are sad and grieving we are happy in the knowledge that Toby had a wonderful, long and full life. Even in her senior years she was full of energy and had the best time on our adventures with her. One of our favorite memories of Toby is her love of sticking her head out the window while we drove. She loved it so much that we got her special googles so she could do it on cold windy days without hurting her eyes 💖
Rest in Peace Toby, we’ll love and miss you forever.
