🌟 Great job opportunity 🌟
Putting the feelers out for a full time member of staff on a quiet private yard with personal, sales and full livery horses.
I have had to let my current groom go who has been here the last 8 months for a number of reasons sadly, my groom I had before that was with me for 5 years. I did advertise at the end of last year but lost track of everyone that applied so if you see this are are still interested please message me again.
Based in inkberrow, good rate of pay and flexible hours to fit around you only Monday-Friday no weekends required apart from on the odd occasion or if wanting to join us out competing or going to events/schooling or team chasing.
Please don’t enquire if you aren’t going to be reliable, I need reliability as I have kids and school run to do so may not always around.
Unfortunately no accommodation so must be someone local!
Yard of 7 horses variety of kids ponies, hunters, team chasers, sj and eventers. 2 of which get done by someone else for most of the week, 1 full livery. All easy to do but they do vary height age ect as they come and go. Currently we have 11.2-15.2. We have kids jumping ponies so a smaller person able to ride them occasionally would be great but not essential or certainly not a deal breaker as I can ride them too or can be lunged/led in between.
Nice easy going relaxed yard, with a very small friendly team. Must be ok with kids and dogs 😂
General yard duties required mucking out, stables, sweeping the yard, bringing in and out, turning horses out to a high standard ect the yard is super easy and doesn’t take long in the mornings.
They are currently out over summer. Most of the fields get harrowed but do the odd poo picking. Helping at xc, shows/events.
Riding and lunging (will be a ridden position so I need someone to be able to ride) must be somewhat competent wouldn’t suit a complete novice. Opportunity to go out competing, hunting, team chasing, funrides, occasional stay away shows (which are a good crack!) showjumping ect to the right person.
We do lots of hacking, schooling, jumping, arena hires, xc, fun rides, Hunter trials, ect. Transport also available.
Happy to have a sensible mature younger person also, maybe someone who has just passed their driving test or must be able to get to inkberrow without lifts letting them down.
Would also consider taking on a apprenticeship to younger person wanting to learn.
Looking for a honest and genuine person with a good sense of humour that isint always miserable and moping around as have clients come and go so nice to have a friendly face around.
Must have good common sense and attention to detail.
Great opportunity for someone, one I would have dreamt of when I was younger!
Own stable can be discussed including hay/haylage and straw for free as part of the package for either a personal horse or if they don’t have own horse and are wanting to have a go at having their own sales horse to top up their wages in which I am happy to help with that side of things professionally.
Great opportunity for the right person and one that doesn’t come up that often.
Can be an immediate start or happy to wait for someone if they need to hand their notice in at current job. I’d like to find the right person so happy to wait
