Each trip immerses students and guests in engaging activities and insights into conservation in action. The Wildlife Institute provides veterinary internships and courses in wildlife medicine to support wildlife conservation. The Wildlife Institute was founded in 2011 along-side the Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic (BWRC) by Justin Ford and Dr. Isabelle Paquet-Durand (Wildlife Veterinarian). Its

purpose is to offer veterinary education and sustainable tourism products to support the Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic and other partner wildlife projects. It’s flagship course, Wildlife Medicine & Conservation, has been taught for nearly a decade by BWRC Director Dr. Isabelle Paquet-Durand. The Wildlife Institute offers a range of specialized veterinary courses in partnership with BWRC and other international partners in Belize and the region.

Veterinary education in support of conservation

The Wildlife Institute provides veterinary internships and courses in wildlife medicine to support wildlife conservation. The Wildlife Institute was founded in 2011 along-side the Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic (BWRC) by Justin Ford, MSc. and Dr. Isabelle Paquet-Durand (Wildlife Veterinarian). Its purpose is to offer veterinary education and sustainable tourism products to support the Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic and other partner wildlife projects. It’s flagship course, Wildlife Medicine & Conservation, has been taught for over a decade by BWRC Director Isabelle Paquet-Durand, DVM, PhD & CWR (Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator). The Wildlife Institute offers a range of specialised veterinary courses in partnership with BWRC and other international partners in Belize and the region.
