Yesterday, January 24, after nearly 30 hours of travel, we arrived from Chile 🇨🇱 with two rescued dogs who have endured unimaginable hardships. Today, their lives take a beautiful turn as they are welcomed into loving homes!

Cindy and Bart, once abandoned and abused, now embark on a new chapter filled with love, care, and endless cuddles. We are beyond grateful to the incredible families who opened their hearts to these deserving pups.

A heartfelt thank you to Deanna and Brad Brajcich for adopting Cindy, who will now be a sister to Zyra, another rescue from our organization. And to David Giesbrecht, thank you for giving Bart a second chance at life and the future he truly deserves.

Hana is a sweet little girl who has faced rejection time and again simply because she is a black dog. Despite this, her spirit remains unbroken. She is a playful, social, and loving companion who enjoys water play, chasing balls and sticks, running, and going on car rides. Hana gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is always ready to shower her family with affection.

Her story is heart-wrenching: rescued from a rural area, she was found tied to an old bench with her three malnourished puppies. One of her puppies, who was white, has been adopted, but the two black ones remain in our care, facing the same prejudice as their mother due to their color.

❗❗Dear Friends and Community❗❗Today, one of our volunteers found a 2-month-old puppy near a bus stop, outside of Santiago city, unconscious and abandoned inside a garbage bag. We rushed him to the nearest veterinary clinic for emergency care. Though he is alive, his condition is critical. He suffers from severe malnutrition, dehydration, and a necrotic leg. The cost to save his life and leg is estimate at $1,150 CAD. We are committed to doing everything we can to save him and his leg, but he needs to be hospitalized for extensive treatment and care.
