❗❗Dear Friends and Community❗❗Today, one of our volunteers found a 2-month-old puppy near a bus stop, outside of Santiago city, unconscious and abandoned inside a garbage bag. We rushed him to the nearest veterinary clinic for emergency care. Though he is alive, his condition is critical. He suffers from severe malnutrition, dehydration, and a necrotic leg. The cost to save his life and leg is estimate at $1,150 CAD. We are committed to doing everything we can to save him and his leg, but he needs to be hospitalized for extensive treatment and care. This sweet boy is Cayden! 🐾♥️He is around two years old and weighs around 12 kgs. Cayden was found outside a shelter, looking sad and forlorn, until he was taken in to be cared for. Now he is looking for his own family - good news is that because he has such a wonderful disposition, he will be a great fit for any person, couple, or family wanting to bring in a furry member. Looking for an urgent foster with intent of adopting
Taco is a very special boy with a unique story. On one of HELP’s trips bringing dogs up from Chile, our Executive Director Talia was outside the airport in Mexico on a layover and Taco came running up to her as fast as he could. Talia learned that he was being chased by the police who said he was to be put down, but we did everything we could to intervene and bring him to Canada. Taco arrived to Canada in July 2022 and has been getting used to his new world.
Taco is a healthy boy who is up to date with all his vaccinations and hasn’t had any medical concerns for as long as we have known him. He is currently around 3.5 years old and still has quite a lot of energy. Taco’s dream home would have a big yard where he can zoom around but his recall is still a work in progress so a fence is a necessity. He would do well with lots of exercise and walking around, but he can be nervous on the leash around other dogs. It takes him some time to feel comfortable around other dogs and get used to them. Taco has been living with an older child and has been around many children, and has been fine with them and likes to play. He would not do well in a home with a cat as he can get fixated on them. He can also fixate on squirrels or other things, and gets very enthusiastic when he spots one. Taco does have some anxiety so a family that is willing to work with him to create an environment where he feels comfortable would be ideal. Taco would thrive with structure and a routine in his home.

This gorgeous boy is Sam! ❤️🐾 He is around 2-year-old and weighs around 55 pounds (25 kg). Sam is such a sweet and grateful guy, he has been described as the perfect dog by people who have met him! He absolutely loves to play with balls 🎾⚽️ Sam's favourite activity is suntanning, and he can often be found in the sun. He is a fairly calm boy. Sam was found wandering around starving in a park where he was then put in the care of Homeless Pets. Sam is very loving and enjoys being around people. Sweet Sam would be thrilled with a family where he gets lots of cuddles!

Hello Homeless Pets Family.... it has been a devastating few days in Chile 🇨🇱 as the country is currently in a state of emergency due to unprecedented rain falls which have caused catastrophic landslides across the entire country.
Unfortunately, many shelters have been destroyed or seriously damaged by these landslides and many dogs have died 😭😭😭of exhausting or drowned after being swept away by rising waters and strong currents.
Thousands of people have lost everything and our shelters that foster many of our resuces dogs have been damaged or completely destroyed.
We are devastating 💔😭💔 beyond belief and it is unbelievably frustrating not being able to be there in Chile 🇨🇱 to help with the rescue efforts.
We are asking for your help as there are many many dogs that need our help. Rescue efforts, food, shelter, vet bills and even if you are able to adopt or foster a dog as we do not have any shelters in Chile 🇨🇱 that are not flooded.
