Miles has been in foster care for 7 MONTHS, patiently waiting for his perfect match! He is a 3 year old 16lb small breed dog - it's hard to understand why it is taking him so long to find a home! 😪

This sweet boy has come a long way from where he started and is yearning to find a loving home where he can truly shine. Miles is all about love and companionship—he bonds quickly and tends to choose his favorite human, often leaning toward a male figure.

🏠 Miles would thrive in a single-person home where he can have all the focus and attention he deserves. This summer☀️while the sun shines bright and the grass is freshly cut, there’s one pup who’s stealing the spotlight — Miles! This busy boy has been aspiring to help around his foster home by offering to mow lawns, and took some time out to sit down for a heartwarming interview. 🎥💚

Currently in a loving foster home 🏡 Miles enjoys all the comforts of family life but dreams of having a place to call his very own. He’s particularly fond of the teenage boy 🙎‍♂️ in his foster home and greets him with the kind of excitement that can only come from unconditional love. 🥰✨ Sadly, while his favorite human is out working, Miles often finds himself waiting patiently by the door 🚪 counting down the minutes until they’re reunited.

FREYA UPDATE: 7/2/2025:
Freya's vitals are good, her blood count is back up, she is snacking on chicken on her own and has been transitioned to oral medication! These are all great things and the doctors are going to allow her to be released today 🙌

After 7️⃣ days in Wilson's our charges are at $2,666.50, and they have not yet included discharge fees. This is also above and beyond the charges at AEC, so realistically we have invested over $6k in saving this sweet girl's life! This unexpected expense is going to weigh heavy on the animals we help as our funding is now dangerously low 💔

Freya Update 💛🐾
Sweet Freya has now been under the incredible care of Wilson Veterinary Hospital for 6️⃣ days, fighting hard against Parvo, one of the most aggressive and devastating illnesses a pup can face.

We’re thrilled to share that today, Freya finally ate some chicken on her own and has been tolerating increased feedings through her nasal gastric tube—a big step for this little fighter. Because of this progress, the vet team is beginning to transition her from injectable meds to oral medications, which is a hopeful sign. 💊🍗

That said, her white blood cell count is still concerningly low, and she remains too unstable for release. The vet staff is monitoring her closely and praying her appetite continues to grow. She’s been more alert today, showing us that same strong spirit that makes her such a tough cookie and a true survivor.

💸 As of today, Freya’s care costs have exceeded $2,300, already surpassing our initial deposit of $2,000—and her treatment is far from over. We don’t have a release date yet, and we want to avoid any setbacks after how far she’s come.

🎆 As we head into the holiday weekend, we gently ask: Instead of spending on fireworks, consider helping a life in need. Your support could be the reason Freya pulls through.

FREYA UPDATE 6/29/2025:
Freya's prognosis continues to improve. Her stool is getting better and the feedings via the nasal gastric tube have increased. She will be offered food to eat on her own as the doctors are hopeful that she is developing an appetite.

Freya is a tough girl that isn't ready to give up, and so many people are fighting for her! We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers sent her way! We are hopeful that she can be released in the next 24-48 hours.

The current charges for only 2 days of care at Wilson Veterinary Hospital are already $1,467 and will continue to incur over the next couple of days under their care. Please consider donating to help ease this financial burden.

Rescue organizations like ourselves do not exist as money making ventures and no one imagines having to spend thousands of dollars on one life, but her life matters! Your support is greatly appreciated!

FREYA UPDATE 6/28/2025:
Freya has a nasal gastric feeding tube as she has not shown any interest in eating. Last night this was causing her to regurgitate, but today her body is tolerating the feedings. The doctor is going to increase the feedings this evening. Freya is still being very quiet at this time (which is unlike her typical exuberant self) but that is to be expected as this virus is very draining.

Parvovirus is completely preventable through vaccinations and it is so important as a simple shot could have prevented this whole emotional and financial nightmare!

We are still a long way from our goal and the charges keep piling the longer she under care.
