FREYA UPDATE 6/29/2025:
Freya's prognosis continues to improve. Her stool is getting better and the feedings via the nasal gastric tube have increased. She will be offered food to eat on her own as the doctors are hopeful that she is developing an appetite.

Freya is a tough girl that isn't ready to give up, and so many people are fighting for her! We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers sent her way! We are hopeful that she can be released in the next 24-48 hours.

The current charges for only 2 days of care at Wilson Veterinary Hospital are already $1,467 and will continue to incur over the next couple of days under their care. Please consider donating to help ease this financial burden.

Rescue organizations like ourselves do not exist as money making ventures and no one imagines having to spend thousands of dollars on one life, but her life matters! Your support is greatly appreciated!

FREYA UPDATE 6/28/2025:
Freya has a nasal gastric feeding tube as she has not shown any interest in eating. Last night this was causing her to regurgitate, but today her body is tolerating the feedings. The doctor is going to increase the feedings this evening. Freya is still being very quiet at this time (which is unlike her typical exuberant self) but that is to be expected as this virus is very draining.

Parvovirus is completely preventable through vaccinations and it is so important as a simple shot could have prevented this whole emotional and financial nightmare!

We are still a long way from our goal and the charges keep piling the longer she under care.

💕FREYA UPDATE 6/27/2025🐾

Freya is stable but has been moved to Wilson Veterinary Hospital in Washington. Charges at AEC were over $4k and they required another $4k for an additional 24 hour stay. We opted to have her moved to Wilson Vet as they are a little more budget friendly, yet highly accredited so we know she will continue to receive the best care!

Freya's prognosis looks good but we need funding to help cover her supportive care for the next 24 hours. A feeding tube has been placed as she is still not eating and her frail body needs the nutrients to fight this virus!!

Donation payments can be called into Wilson Veterinary Hospital directly for Freya under the care of Furever Tails Animal Rescue.

URGENT: Help Save Freya’s Life 💛

Freya, a sweet pup rescued from a high-kill shelter in Detroit, is now fighting for her life. Just after reaching safety, she suddenly stopped eating and developed terrifying symptoms.

She tested positive for parvo — a highly contagious and deadly virus. Freya was immediately rushed to Animal Emergency Center (AEC) in Rochester, where she's now receiving intensive, 24/7 care.

💔 Parvo strikes hard and fast. But with immediate, intensive care, it can be beaten!

Thanks to quick action, Freya has a fighting chance. But her vet bills have already surpassed $4,200, and they're still climbing as she continues her battle.

🌟 **Meet Dug!** 🌟

Poor Dug just can't catch a break! Despite his sweet nature, he received ZERO applications for adoption until recently. He was adopted by an older and experienced gentleman, but unfortunately, Dug’s energetic puppy vibes didn’t match his adopter's lower-energy lifestyle.

At just **9 months old** and weighing **48 lbs**, Dug could possibly be a Husky mix (though we don’t DNA test). What we do know is he is **not a pit bull and not a Chihuahua** 🙃, so everything else is a possibility!

✨ **About Dug:**
- Sweet and active pup
- Eager to learn but needs some work on leash manners
- Crate trained and house trained
- Good with other dogs who enjoy rough-and-tumble play
- Needs a cat-free home
- Great fit for dog-savvy children and an active family
- A fenced yard would be a bonus!

🧼✂️ Everyone Loves to Poodle/Doodle everything… Until It’s Grooming Time 🐩💸

Let’s be real—poodles and doodles are adorable, and it’s no wonder they’ve stolen the spotlight. Fluffy curls, sweet eyes, playful personalities—they’re hard to resist. But here’s the truth:

👉 These breeds require professional grooming every 4–6 weeks.
👉 That’s not a luxury—it’s a necessity.
👉 Mats, skin issues, and discomfort are real problems when grooming is skipped.

Owning a doodle isn’t just about posting cute pics—it’s a serious financial and time commitment. If you're thinking about getting one, please ask yourself:

❓Am I financially prepared for regular grooming costs?
❓Do I understand what these breeds need to stay healthy and comfortable?

Also keep in mind, those that choose to buy a doodle - you are just paying for overpriced mutts - that's right, they are mixed breed dogs, aka mutts. Rescuing a doodle has so much more value as you are saving a life and not contributing to someone's income.

We’ve got a couple of sweet, neglected poodle girls who desperately need a fresh start—and a fresh haircut. Their current condition is heartbreaking, and we want them to feel like the beauties they are again.

We’re looking for someone willing to donate their time and talent to help these girls feel clean, comfortable, and loved. We are primarily based out of NE Oakland County but have the means to transport within reason.

🐾✨ Hey there, hoomans! 🐾✨

I’m Charly, your friendly neighborhood Saint Bernard! 🐶❤️ Yes, I may be big, but I’m basically a giant lap dog who just wants to shower you with slobbery kisses that will last longer than any moment! 😘💦

I’m a big fan of snuggles, bubble baths, and getting pampered with some brushing—it's like a spa day every day! 🛁😌 I also love to play and wrestle with my dog friends, but I must admit that cats don't appreciate being chased and I habe heard they give painful high-fives… Ouch (note, no cats were harmed in this assessment)! 🐱✋

I’ve been in rescue for 2 MONTHS now and met 5 families, but they’ve said I’m either too much energy for their pups or too much dog for their little kiddos. I just want to run and play, so a fenced yard is a must - otherwise I will physically exhaust your strength with my master pulling style! 💪🏃‍♂️
