❤️ 🐾 A Breeders love 🐾 ❤️

Because I Loved Them First...

I didn’t sleep.
When I did it was in a whelping pen
Because I loved them first

I did all the health testing I could
I did pre and post whelping care
Because I loved them first

I miss life events, family gatherings, work, sleep and wouldn't have it any other way
My dogs come first that’s why all the questions
Because I loved them first

I cried over a still born I did CPR on for 20 min
I worried and cried and prayed over the weak and tiny ones fighting for them
I bottle fed and clean a million linens
Because I loved them first

I was the first to hold them
I was the first to trim their nails
I was first to give them a bath
I gave them confidence and encouragement
Because I loved them first

I will always take them back into my home
Because I loved them first

I worry and have sleepless nights even when they go to your home
Because I loved them first

When you call me with issues
Do not feel as though I do not care because remember
I LOVED THEM FIRST ❤️

The hand of a breeder is the hand that calms the dog during childbirth ...
It is the hand that caresses her belly to calm her during contractions ...
A breeder's hand is the hand that makes the path free to let the pups be born easier ...
It is the hand that does not tremble and is under the blood to help a puppy in trouble.
A breeder's hand is the hand that breaks the puppies' bag if it is not broken after birth ...
It is the hand that helps rub and clean the puppies and help their breathing.
A breeder's hand is the one that tries to revive a puppy, but sometimes he has to give up when there is no heartbeat.
The hand of a breeder is the hand that cut the umbilical cord when the mother does not ...
In addition, the hand of the breeder is the one that weighs the puppy every day to see if everything goes well.
A breeder's hand is the hand that puts a puppy away closer to the mother while the mother looks at you full of confidence ...
The hand that rubs the chest, so that breast milk is activated ...
A breeder's hand is the one that rubs on his eyes and fights fatigue and sleeps after days without falling asleep.
It is the hand that gives milk bottles day and night when there is very little yield.
A breeder's hand is the one that brings the lost puppy back to the mother, the one who plays with the puppy to socialize, the one who teaches the puppy to switch to solid nutrition.
The hand of a breeder is the hand that takes care of the little ones when it does not go well with them
The hand of a breeder is the hand you have entrusted to your future puppy in the hope that it will go well.
The hand of a breeder is the hand that is ready day and night to answer all your questions if you have any questions about anything.
For all these and many other things, the next time you shake a breeder's hand, think of everything that hand has done with love., ❤❤

A Reputable Breeder’s Poem💫

You’ll love your little puppy, she’ll make your house a home.
She’ll be your very best friend, you’ll never feel alone.
She’ll make you smile, she’ll make you laugh,
She’ll fill your heart with love…….
Did she come from a breeder or did she fall from heaven above?
If you’ve never been a breeder or seen life through their eyes as you hold your little puppy, please don’t criticize.
You don’t know of all the anguish and the times that bring such pain.
When we lose the battle with a little one and the tears flow like rain.
Sometimes we sit the whole night through waiting for babies to be born.
Oh the stress and trepidation when they’re still not here by dawn.
Or the panic of holding a tiny baby in our hands who weighs but 60 grams
Do I do this instead of that or that instead of this?
Alone we fight and hope we won’t give him his last little kiss.
We pray he’ll live to bring some joy and make a house a home
We know it’s up to us and we fight this fight alone.
Formula, bottles, heating pads, we have to get it right
Two hour feedings for this tiny guy throughout the day and night.
In our hearts we know we are probably going to lose this epic fight
but we keep trying to save him because God willing we just might.
Day one he’s in there fighting; we say a silent prayer
Day two & three he’s doing well, with lots of love and care
Day four & five…..he’s still alive, our hopes soar to Heaven
Day six he slips away again, dies in our hands day seven.
We take this little angel and bury him alone:
With aching heart and burning tears and an exhausted groan
We ask ourselves “Why do this? Why suffer all this grief & pain?
To help them live to grow up strong and see the joy your puppy brings – this self explains.
So when you think of breeders and label them with “GREED”,
If you have a happy & healthy puppy it’s cause they filled his every need.
When you buy a puppy, and with your precious dollars part,
You only pay with money … we pay with a piece of our heart.
