Having very wistful Bellingham small business feelings this weekend 🥹 This Caturday, our neighbors, , are having their final block party to celebrate their 30th anniversary and say goodbye before closing up shop 🍻 It's hitting extra hard because NEKO's founders, Caitlin & Cory, met working at Boundary back in 2008! 💖 Without that place, the world might be missing some cat cafes and cute little girls!

Raising a catnip beer to these wonderful folks. We're so honored to be an outgrowth of their legacy in any way – to be in the commewnity that's done so much for us. To get to make our little way in the world with such wonderful staff and visitors is a dream come true every single day, and we're so grateful to the place that started it all.

We'll be celebrating with the kitties tomorrow! If anypawdy wants to stop in while you're block partying, we'll be happy to get you a beer and intromewce you to some of our favorite little Bellinghamsters 🐈

ATTENTION, CAMPERS ⚠️ It’s fall in the Pawcific Northwest so our indoor cats are heading to… CAMP NEKO 🤩⛺️ It's a NEW RESIDENT PIN with NINE fluffin’ CATS 😩

Simon, Zest, Carlton, Xena, Chloe, Ringo, Loki, Elvira, & Prairie are the happiest campers at the most adorable work retreat ever! 🌲 WE’RE OBSESSEDDD. WE CAN’T DEAL WITH THIS. We know we say this almost every time but this might be our favorite pin yet. It’s bigger and SO supurr de-tailed and all our furiends are here!! 😭

The kitties are deep in the North Catscades learning valuable nature skills! At Camp NEKO, you’ll find:

Mr. Meowgi is the purrfect small-batch rice lager! Inspired by our beer-aficionado founders’ time living in Sapporo (where the idea for NEKO started!) 💖 We’ve had a rice lager on draft since NEKO opened to pay tribute to our faves in Japan. We can’t believe we got to help make one!! 😭 It’s so good. It’s crisp and light and truly delicious. It’s exactly what we dreamed it’d taste like. Beach Cat killed it.

🥋 THE KITTEN
Mr. Meowgi the Kitten is a young lady 🎀 She (and OG Mr. Miyagi) inspired our adorable beer mascot shortly after we got her from the shelter. We didn’t realize that she was a girl until after we designed the can in her image 👀🫴 BUT there are no rules in cat names so Mr. Meowgi is a little princess and we love her so much 👑 She’s also really good at helping bullied young boys learn karate. Supurr subtle teaching methods.

Big Tuna has headed upstream and off to his furever home!! 🏠✨

Our fishy friend was a caaatch in the cat room 🎣 charmed everyone who came in with that big ol noggin. This king happily accepted all your love and attention and purroved to be a biiig fan of head pets and face smooches 🥹 If his good looks didn't catch someone's attention, his big lion meow fur sure did the trick 😤

We absolutely adore this sweet guy and will miss him so SO much in the cat room. We're so excited for him and his wonderful family 🎉

A girl to make you sWOON 😩 Gorgeous and she 👏 kNOWS IT 👏

Our pretty lil shoulder bag is doing so well in Bellingham! 🥹 She’s a little spicy (especially with cats who dare to look at her) but she’s loving that she has many spare admirers around 💅

Miss. Satchel mostly hangs out on this box wall, but likes to make celebrity appawrences once per session to rub her fluffy little face on everypawdy 😌 She diligently makes sure alllll her visitors get a chance to tell her how cute she is 🙏 Such a giver!!
