We are headed to Chattanooga next month to watch my niece compete in the @headofthehooch regatta.

We’ve started looking at area hotels but would love some ideas of cool restaurants, things to see etc. we may extend our trip to explore other areas around there, so please send your suggestions!!

Archie is hear to tell you that due to meowmys sewing room looking like an overflowing fabric store, she has to purge A LOT before purchasing anything new for the holidays! 😬 and since there is no easy way to have everyone come over and pick out their favorite designs, we need a different option.

Ok, so let us know what you think would be the best way to purge!! Oh! And I almost forgot…. When the purge happens, for a limited time there will be a discount on the beds and cat nap mats. These will be offered as a first come first serve deal. Once the design is gone, it’s gone!

Backstory… 3 years ago today I received the news no one ever wants to hear, you have breast cancer. At the time, I took it in stride as I received the call while I was sitting in a different doctors office, waiting for confirmation that I had COVID. 🤦🏻♀️
I could only handle so much at one time. .
.
This photo is November of 21, when I returned from @moffittcancercenter after having a lumpectomy. I later had to have an additional quick surgery to remove a little more for better margins.
.
Since then I have continued to have checkups every 6 months alternating between an MRI and mammogram. Other than 1 hiccup late last year, which after a biopsy, was confirmed to be surgery scars, I have been in the clear. 🙏🏻
.
What isn’t talked about as much is the ongoing mental stress and anxiety that forever weighs on a cancer fighter. The what if’s can sometimes be overwhelming. Along with the changes to your body which you have no control over… it can get pretty depressing.
.
I still have another 2.5 years on tamoxifen, UGH. For those of you who have gone through this, you know what I’m talking about.
.
I share all of this not to be a downer, but as a reminder that even though the past few years aren’t exactly how I had imagined they would be, I’m still here LIVING!! If I hadn’t gone for my annual mammogram, who knows when they would have caught it!
.
So let this be a PSA to all of you!!! Please please stay on top of your mammogram appointments. If you need help finding a location, let me know and I’ll help you find one. Also, I’m here for anyone going through it who wants to vent, cry, yell or laugh!

Always remember you never know what a person is battling inside, so treat everyone with care and kindness. ❤️

Ps. I finally have a collar-wearing cat again! My first cats, Lucy, Desi & Sushi were all happy to wear collars and other accessories. Then came Finnegan & Archie. They let me know they weren’t having it! Even though I told them it isn’t good for business! 😹
Thankfully Walter is ready for his glamour shots soon. And hopefully willing to wear a harness when he gets a tad bigger. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yep…. We decided to keep this little fur ball. Our first Foster Fail. However I feel like it is a win!

It’s been 20 years since I’ve had a tiny kitten running around. 😹 ooooohhh my! I think the next fur family member will be a 10 year old sleepy lap cat. I tell ya, these little guys are no joke! 😂

Little man had some free time to check out our room and sniff the boys. Finnegan is not sure about the houseguest, but Archie is thrilled for a friend!

He’s not allowed out in gen pop for an extended period of time yet, as he still needs to get fully checked and vaccinated.
.
But if I had to guess, he’s becoming quite the social butterfly. 🥰
Of all the cozy places to sleep, my little foster enjoys sleeping on the edge of the blanket. He even has a little covered bed in between the toilet and the cabinet. 🤷🏻♀️
.
On a side note, he is struggling to gain weight. Very very thin. Any tips?
.
