2.5 weeks after Patch (10yo) fell off an ATV, he was still very lame…

And 4 days after his initial session, he had improved out of sight.

Often times, owners are told to rest their dogs when they’ve been cleared of fractures…

And that’s where I come in. I can help their soft tissue to have a speedy recovery.

A couple of the precious fur babies I’ve had the pleasure of treating in the Hunter Valley!

Tye is a 12yo paint gelding who has had a really torrid time with infections, likely from a spider bite and intermittent lameness. In one session, his neck has softened, his lower back through to his stifle has filled out and tightness released. More to come for this beauty, but a great start!

And Banner the Boxer has increased mobility with treatments to ease the pain and discomfort from Spondylosis and Peripheral Neuropathy.

I used to vaccinate religiously. Felt like a horrible doggy owner if I didn’t!

And then Sadie developed reactions to tick/ flea control resulting in petite mal seizures. Since then, I’ve been warned that wormers, and jabbies could injure her worse.

Now I highly recommend titer testing before jabbing. Consider the big picture. If the antibodies are high enough, don’t take the risk.

Most people don't know this. And most vets still recommend yearly or three-yearly vaccination 'boosters' for your pets. Most vets don't even know that these vaccinations provide long-lasting immunity. I sure didn't until I'd been in practice for over 10 years, when I found the research.

Yes, a vaccination can injure or kill your pets. AND vaccines are highly effective in the prevention of potentially deadly diseases. Here we have a rock and a hard place. So what to do???

𝗠𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗲-𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀. 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲-𝘃𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆.

In fact, re-vaccination when your pet does have adequate antibody levels does NOT increase immunity. It doesn't boost anything, because the antibodies in your pet's blood stream grab the vaccine before their body can respond to it. However, the vaccination can still harm or injure your pet.

Rule number one + minimal vaccination for maximum protection. And the only way to do this is to titer test, and only re-vaccinate if antibody levels are low.

Throwback a few years to Daisy….

Daisy was such a gem and a real pivotal moment for me to realise how much good I can do in this world; the legacy I can leave, giving loving owners more time with their furry family members than they might get without my help.

I met Emmy for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and she was really quite struggling to bear weight on her near hind.

I did one tiny little move on her, before coming back 12 days later to do a full treatment.

I was absolutely blown away by the change she had made in that time - it never ceases to amaze me that it doesn’t take a huge session with lots of big and deep moves to make change in the body.

Gentle communication with the nervous system can trigger some seriously profound improvement!!!

Romeo had been terribly headshy for about 18 months after pulling back while tied up; couldn’t even touch the top of his neck! 🙁 A couple of EMMETT treatments and he’s nearly back to normal - he just needs a bit of practice to move past the negative mental association, but he’s no longer in pain, so he’s improving every day 🩷 If your horse needs some therapeutic TLC, give me a call or PM to book in. 🌻🌻🌻

This mare has been a long term project! Bought off a local FB page, poor Mary came with a LOT of trauma and distrust of humans, and she was in so much panic and anxiety that she simply couldn’t learn or retain anything we tried to do with her. Collaboration with my acupuncture mentor helped a lot, though a huge part of Mary’s training has been positively shaped by EMMETT technique. Yesterday, I was finally able to treat down Mary’s hind legs (which she has previously needed heavy sedation to handle)…. And even more impressively, without a handler due to her love of EMMETT and what it does for her! Our Story

Josie Alison: Bowen Therapy is now open for treating yourselves with Bowen Therapy, or Aromatouch Massage using the DoTERRA essential oils, and treating your dogs and horses (other animals available by discussion) with Bowen Therapy.

Human treatments will be available at the amazing Shakti Centre at 135 Vincent Street, Cessnock, or at my home for friends and family. Of course, I can travel to your dogs and horses, or arrangements can be made for you to bring your animals to me if necessary.

I also sell DoTERRA essential oils and other natural wellness products.
