Here’s our newest Irish Champion Maddie who was orphaned at only a few days old in a litter of 11. Lucky with so much help these pups all survived and Maddie made her way to Ballina from Portlaoise. We get asked do collie makes good pets and as you can see she loves her run but also loves the couch! They are a fantastic breed ❤️

It’s been a while but just a little post to say I’ll be back come August! I would like to thank most for understanding that I was on maternity leave and I was not working, I had to put other things first and look after myself and Priya! It’s been a quick few months but we have been busy, many of you didn’t know Me and my other half tied the knot recently ❤️ it’s been a bit hectic 😅
It’s time to start getting through the long list of messages! It may take a bit of time, but I will be taking pre bookings as I know some of ye are very eager! I am very grateful for all the messages and many waiting on me to be back!

Hi all, I’ve been inundated with calls and messages and am very greatful but please bare in mind I am STILL on maternity leave, I’m going to enjoy this time off with my little girl she is still only a few weeks old and keeping me busy. I can’t commit to the phone all the time, I myself am not working. There will be a post some day to notify ye all when I’m back 🤗 the girls are doing what they can, but until then I get to messages when I get to messages, and apologies if I miss some phone calls, please send me a message again to remind me I’m not ignoring you 😅 The time is flying and I want to soak it all up, I’m sure most of you understand.
Hi all, I’m finally going to turn on the work phone today and start to get through some messages.
I didn’t get to put up a message last year wishing ye all the best and thanking you all for the support especially the last few months, I know there was many reschedules and having to move to other groomers as it just got to hard some days and at the end but I know plenty of ye will be waiting for my return 💕
I had to take time and leave the phone off for longer, many of you don’t know, unfortunately a few days before Christmas as much as we were delighted to welcome the newest member to the family, I had to say goodbye to my 15 year old friend. We took these knowing he hadn’t much time left but he hung in there till the end and it was as if he knew he had to stick around to meet the next big dog lover. We watched his eyes close and told him we loved him as we rubbed that white fluffy head 💔
We still have a gang of Shih tzu’s keeping a close eye on every move and cry and getting in for cheeky naps! As most of you know I’m on maternity leave and will be for another while but the girls will be there to do some grooms and if not I’ll point you in the direction of someone who can help. Thank you again for your messages and presents, I’ve one very spoilt little girl 🩷

I’ve a big announcement a lot of my customers don’t know and haven’t seen the bump but the count down begins 🤗 After a tough few weeks after getting covid, I’ve made the decision yesterday that I will be going on maternity earlier than planned. I would like to thank some of my customers for been so understanding, there have been many late replies and having to shuffle people about with covid and me been sick, it’s not been easy and stressful at times trying to keep up, but after a few smacks in the tummy area I’ve to be more careful. I will still do the dogs that are booked in but I may have to pass a few dogs on to fellow groomers while I’m away but I WILL be back next year so don’t worry and I will be happy to take ye all back but right now I have to look after the bump and I hope ye understand ❤️
A reminder there is wash, dries, deshedding and nail clipping available all the time straight through till Christmas 🎄 I know I have messages to get back to, which we are working through but do resend them just incase as the phone coverage has been playing up.

Just a little note don’t want it to sound as a rant but a reminder to anyone trying to book in please be patient, I have been a bit unwell lately I hate stating it but doing my best to keep going just to get dogs in and done, I know it’s warm, I did warn people about this 😅 I ask people to prebook when you leave your appointment. I am working our hardest doing long hours and try do messages when we can, waiting on confirmations just to give the soonest available slot.
People contact me through so many different social media’s even writing to me on personal accounts and to family members at times, we may miss one or two, I do apologise so please do resend a message it’s not intentional 🤗 I do have a 5/6 week wait time atm so if you want your dog in I’d advise thinking ahead ❤️
Show season is very much in full swing, here’s our gorgeous maddie ❤️ there is loads of agricultural shows coming up soon so anyone needing fixing up for them let me know. There’s the Ballina, Crossmolina and Killala shows do support them, I’m sure they have some lovely judges, lots of prizes and if your lucky a rosette 👀😁
Charlie my one eyed boy ❤️ 14 and a half years old! I think we do forget sometimes our buddies get old and start slowing down and realise they won’t always be here. We decided we were going to go a photo shoot with the little man. A massive thank you to my sister Chloe for taking these. They turned out amazing and brought a few tears 🥲 considering Charles is deaf and hasnt the best vision and arthritis I think she captured his personality ❤️ Trying to encourage her to take a few more make it a bit more than a hobby ❤️
Hey everyone, with the Christmas madness and with working very long days I have missed a few messages, I do know this and I’m sorry, but I will get back to messages in the coming days 💕 I’m taking time off for myself and that does include having to turn the work phone off, to be with my family and own dogs who didn’t get to see me much.
I know a lot of my customers know how hard I’ve worked and are so thankful and appreciative. The continued support and recommendations year after year means everything! So I just want to say thank you and thank you for all your gifts there was no need!
I will be closed till mid January, taking a bit of extra time to fix a few things that unfortunately had a malfunction with the ice 😅

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who messaged me and all the lovely comments about our appearance on the Late Late Show on Friday night. Me, dad and Franey set off for Rte Friday afternoon and still hardly believing we would actually be on the late late telling her story ❤️ As breeders of franey we are so proud of this girl as is her now and forever owners Louise and Phillip. I had the the experience of a life time and getting to tell Franey’s story on how she saved a family, how dogs are so intelligent, their loyalty and most of all their love, as all the other dogs on stage that night. Dogs truly are amazing ❤️

I am booked up, as stated a few days ago I had only wash and blow drys left… people are still asking for full appointments I’m doing my best I really am so I will start a cancellation list.
I have a massive amount of messages so there is a little delay as I’m working long 11/12 hours days. I can’t open any spot till I give that person a day or two onto confirm a slot. I try get though what I can when I finish. As ye all know this is a busy time of year and can be stressful so please be patient.
I’m here sat still trying my best to get through the huge amount of messages from last week. So if I haven’t got to you I will it does take time waiting for confirmations, anyone who has messaged me before the weekend gets first priority. Hang in there or send me a thumbs up incase I missed you!
AS THINGS STAND
I only have wash/dry and mini grooms available for Christmas. This is not available to dogs who are matted.
Going forward I have stated to many there is a price increase. It’s not something I wanted to do but I have no choice everything else is increasing. I use top shampoo’s, gas and electricity all which have gone up so I unfortunately I don’t have an option.
No shows:
You will be charged 50% of your groom you missed. Please just message and cancel so some other dog can get the space.
Cancellations:
Must be made up till 24 hours before appointment so slot can be filled.
Late drop off and collections:
Please don’t be late dropping off your dog or your appointment may be cancelled. This can delay the day and I do have my own dogs that need attention so same goes for picking up dogs. Unfortunately lately people have been leaving their dogs for an hour or 2 or more…. I don’t mind when your booking in a dog and ask is it ok if you can get the dog at such a time, NOT on the day of grooming as I may have booked another dog in after that doesn’t like other dogs present or I may have have commitments of my own.
Hi guys I have been away the last couple of days on bridesmaid duties so for anyone who couldn’t contact me my phone wasn’t working while I was up north, I’ll be sorting back to all messages tomorrow and anyone who has messaged me about Christmas apps you get first choice at any times I have left! There is only a handful of Christmas slots left, please bare in mind the 19th-21st will be for wash/dry’s and mini tidies so please book in if your wanting a slot this year is going to be a busy one for sure!

It’s been a very busy month! I know I have a few messages to get back to so hopefully will get through them tonight just confirming a few times ☺️ had an early start up at 5am and I was at the Limerick championship show with my boy Zack, who won green star and reserve best of breed. So proud of my champion.
Also dad was showing our latest superstar twiggy who got reserve bitch and continues her run to be a champion which no doubt she will be one day ❤️
