BLUE Heelers - Herding Dogs Needing Rescue and Adoption This page is for any herding dog types needing rescue from kill shelters ! We are not a rescue!! We do not have these dogs in our possession!!

We also help people who have heelers and herding dogs that need to find placement to work with people by networking! ALL info of the dogs are in the posts! Please do not ask us if we have any for adoption! We also have no specific location, since we are a networking page , we help all heelers and other herding dogs in the USA find homes or rescues!

Waylon
Hampton, NH

Hi all, meet sweet Waylon
Waylon is a one year old young boy who is looking for a human that wants to have some fun adventures! He is already a seasoned traveler as he has taken his first flight north and his pilot said he was the BEST copilot. He also does well on car rides. Waylon is a moderate energy boy who is up for a good round of playtime in the yard or is up to a nice long hike to experience new smells! Waylon does well with other dogs to play with and is very interested in play so another playful dog in the home would work well. He is very responsive to commands, smart and loyal and is up to trying new tasks and is eager to please. Waylon is housetrained, he does well on a leash. He is crate trained but gets a little anxious in his crate if he is in it for extended periods of time and will whine to let you know he is ready to be out. Waylon has lived in a home with kids and did well, especially if they are up for some good yard play time. Waylon just really enjoys being with his people and is eager to become a member of his very own family. Waylon is up to date on vaccines, is neutered and microchipped. If you would like more information about Waylon email [email protected] or fill out an application at https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application.

QUIET LITTLE GENTLEMAN WHO BLOSSOMED IS ABOUT TO LOSE HIS LIFE💔
Red came in nervous and shut down, but volunteers say he has completely come out of his shell. He’s dog-friendly, knows “sit,” takes treats softly, and is always clean and quiet in his kennel. This knee-high cutie has proven himself sweet, polite, and perfect—he just needs someone to give him a chance outside the shelter walls. He’s only last call for capacity and length of stay. He has so many dog friends in the shelter, but unfortunately it’s full and his time is up. Please come meet him today.!

Cage 3 & 4 #251485-6 - Greenville, TX

These gorgeous cattle dog mix girls came into the shelter as strays and are trying their best to adjust to shelter life! Because they are strays we don’t have any history on them but they both seem like very sweet girls who are just a bit anxious to be stuck in a tiny cage! Please come and meet them to see if one might be a good fit for you and your family! 5 months old 🐾

If you are willing to foster until a permanent home is found, please send a message, and I will connect you with a local rescue!

They can be adopted for $95 each which includes mandatory spay, rabies vaccine and microchip.

🐾 DISCLAIMER: Animals are not seen by a vet. We strongly recommend taking them to the vet for a health check, vaccines (if needed) and dewormer.
** All animals need core vaccines to keep them healthy and help prevent spread of disease and death. They will need at least 2 more booster shots 3 weeks apart with a vet.
Please adopt, rescue & share!!

LUCY
Lucy is a 6-year-old blue heeler that is altered and weighs 41lbs! When lucy came to us she was a little snippy if touched on the face /backend, with the help of our team she is no longer reactive and in fact very loveable! She would love to be on a farm, where she could herd livestock and feel like her purpose has been fulfilled. She has such a confident attitude, all in all just a great baby in general! If you think you have a home suitable for her please reach out!

**COURTESY POST**

Location: Cerrillos, New Mexico

Toddy, neutered male, 2yrs old, 35lbs

Toddy is located in Cerrillos NM, close to Santa Fe NM. He is a sweet little neutered male, likes to smile, has boundless energy and has no medical issues. I’ve tried training him on a leash. He does okay but often goes in between my legs. He’d rather just be at home, that’s where he is happy, and he gets sick on rides. Toddy stays in a kennel at night otherwise he potties around the house at night. He does great in a kennel at night.

Toddy loves to be outside and chew on sticks. He is always happy to see me when I come home. I have two mini daschund and because of his boundless energy, he is a little bit too rough in play with them and it makes me nervous. For this reason I’d like him to find a different but loving home. He has never hurt anyone or animal. He doesn’t like cats, he probably doesn’t know or care for children, I have witnessed him playing very well with a larger dog. He will alert you to outside things but for the most part is very quiet.
I can transport Toddy to a new home within an hour of Cerrillos NM, so basically Santa Fe county or Bernalillo County, NM.

Toddy had a rough start in life. I adopted him from a kill shelter where he clung to me like glue on his ride to my home. He was full of parasites which was taken care of through many vet visits. My mom would joke with me over the phone, what is that a deer, a coyote, it has such long legs. He was very scrawny I believe from the parasites. If someone will adopt him, to a good home, I don’t expect any fees but rather you can donate to the foundation.

Toddy is not an ACDRA Foster Dog. If you are interested in Toddy or have questions, please email [email protected]

A blue boy: scared, at risk of euthanasia, and needs a hero, at Sevier County Animal Shelter.
Sevierville, Tennessee
Tito 💙
Male, 3 years old, neutered
Intake September 3
ID # 59290790
Stuck in the shelter for 4 weeks, still terrified, and getting no exposure. We asked about him, today, and the director stated she was removing him from their website (which she did, promptly), because "He's too aggressive for us to handle".
What is "aggression"? Fear.
How does one reduce fear? Understanding, effort, snacks, & love. 💙

Is Tito at risk of euthanasia? The shelter is critically over-capacity, with dog intakes greatly exceeding placement. On September 23, they stated euthanasia as a option. 💔

We tried to find their data, and their website reports "Transparency" as one of their three "Core Values", and yet, directly below that, "Statistics" is followed by empty space. 💔

Tito needs love and safety from someone that understands scared heelers, and his plight needs attention. Not supression.
Make him famous. 💙
