Now all that remains is the paw operation and grafting. The doctor said first they will get a vaccination, then an operation. The date of the operation is not yet known exactly.

Maxi is a loving little sweetheart. He's little funny and a spirited little chap. He is open and friendly and enjoys the cuddles of humans. The little man gets along well with his peers. Maxi was found on the street and you could read the chip and track it back. His former owner was contacted and he said Max escaped from him 5 years ago. But now he has a new dog in the household and he has no use for the poor drops. This is how Maxi came to our animal shelter. We don't know what has happened to the poor guy in recent years. What we can say is that he had some injuries and is very thin. The wounds are healed, fortunately for him, he still lacks a loving home.
If you are interested in Maxi, then get in touch with us and he could be packing his suitcase soon!

Seeing a lot of re-homing posts for pets, read this.

"We need to re-home our pet..." posts. These are the people who went ahead and purchased puppies, kittens, rabbits...etc. as Christmas gifts who are suddenly allergic, moving, having a baby, don't have time, their kids won't take care of it, didn't think they'd get so big, didn't think they shed, didn't think they needed food....

Problem is, 90% of unwanted pets end up in kill shelters.

Allow me to break it down for you.

You didn't know you had an allergy? Oops. Don't let the pet suffer, buy some allergy medicine.

You're moving? What city are you moving to that doesn't allow dogs? Bullsh*tville? You have a responsibility to your living, breathing family member to plan ahead to find a house, apartment or condo that will ALLOW your family member. Period. I would be HOMELESS with my pet before giving them up.

Oh, you had no idea you were due to have a baby in 2 months? Didn't know that's how it worked.. Get a dog trainer and remember that the pet was your child first.

Don't have time to let a dog out, or to have a dog just sit next to you while you're home? Really? So they're better off in a shelter than waiting in your house for you to get home? Ok, perhaps get another pet to keep them company or look for a local dog-sitter.

Oh, you mean your five-year-old didn't step up to the plate to feed, walk and scoop p**p like they promised? I guess it's time for YOU to step up and role model for your child.

Wrong size? Not cute as an adult? Sheds too much? Barks? Breathes? Not quite the personality you expected? Look in a mirror, how did you turn out? Should we send you back? 😡

Guess what? If the roles were reversed, your dog would NEVER LET YOU GO.

Meet Moose!
This is from the current owner:
Smooth Fox Terrier male, 2.5 yrs old, 22 lbs and AKC registered. He is very sweet, kissy and deserves his forever home! He was adopted out as a puppy and returned to the breeder 8 months later where he stayed for the next year. The current owner adopted him at 2 yrs old. Fights with the owner's 10 yr old SFT and Whippet puppy started from the beginning. He was neutered in Nov, 2023.

Unfortunately, Moose's first adoption caused him extreme trauma from the adopter's Kuvasz dog, which helps explain some of his reactivity to other dogs. The breeder said after he was returned to her he ran with 7-8 other dogs of various breeds without any issues, but there wasn't an intact male SFT's in the group.

Moose will need to be placed in a home that can spend time training to assess/reduce his reactivity. He will need a yard with a 6' privacy fence and where he is not left alone for hours. He has a voracious appetite. He sleeps well through the night in his crate, but if crated during the day he can become quite agitated. He is not yet
trust worthy left to roam the house alone!

FYI, The breeder has released the owner of her contract. Please no judgmental comments.

2/7/24 Update:
Rudi saw a new veterinarian today. Here is what Galina wrote; The first thing I will say is that Rudy's wound is healing😍
Not everything is as bad as it looks in the photo❤️. The doctor said that Rudy's wound will heal with secondary tension because it is torn.
Such wounds heal better in an open state and have the ability to self-clean.
There are no purulent areas on the wound!
Some places are already alive.
He has neither anemia nor infection!
I liked the doctor! A good specialist!
Cleaned the wound from dead tissues.said That was for two weeks. The result could be better. That the previous doctor gave too little dose of antibiotics, that's why everything is like this. Cleaned the w I uld from dead tissue, shaved off all the fur around the wound, and carefully treated the wound and the paw.
Now, the result should be even better and faster. Under no circumstances should you operate on the paw now. You need to wait for the wound to heal!
There are chances that you can do without surgery, but it all depends on how the capsule grows.
Rudi has a problem with the testicles (all taerde)and painful. It may be necessary to castrate, but it also takes time!
And in general Rudy's condition is good. Our Rudy is strong ❤️

This little Smooth Fox Terrier in Ukraine was hit by a car and needs surgery asap. The bill is approximately $800- $1000 US dollars, and we are going to help them. I'm sending funds from my Smooth Fox Terrier Rescue, but we need more for this little boy who has been lost from his family. Galina was kind enough to take the dog in and help, but she needed our help.

The first medical aid was provided in the clinic.
I got there with a tear in the skin under my stomach and a broken leg😢
At the moment, we are treating the tear. The large wound is not healing well. It is necessary to operate on the foot and insert a plate.
Before the operation, you need to pass tests to see if the internal organs are normal.
They have already spent a lot of money on treatment
I will be very grateful to someone who will help this boy become a full-fledged dog as playful as he was.

Henry is 3-4 years.

This story starts with a little boy, Henry and his dad. Until after they were together a while daddy got sick with Covid. Unbeknownst to anyone outside their little house Henry's daddy passed away and Henry was left alone for a couple days until someone came to check on them and found Henry. Henry actually lived in California and has a problem with some missing hair, but doesn't make him any less adorable. We jumped at the chance to rehouse him with us. In the beginning everything was good with our other puppies but unfortunately the more time that goes by, he has become aggressive with our other male dog, we already had. So we feel he would do better in a one puppy home. He is a lovable dog, he could sit on your lap all day. Sleep under the blankets at night with you, if you like extra warmth. We are hoping someone will look at these adorable pictures of Henry and either want him for themselves or know someone who would love to give him a loving home. Thank you for taking your time reading this or even sharing this.

Two female SFT's not getting along, need to find a home with no dogs or, a smaller dog that is a male. There are no problems when the male parent is home, they even play in the backyard together and go on walks together just fine.

She is very sweet, loves to cuddle, likes playing with other dogs but unfortunately, they have another SFT female close in age and have developed problems between them lately, territorial issues. They do have the dogs in obedience class but this has become escalated where they feel that it would be the safest situation to re-home her.
This family is HEARTBROKEN!

What a sad world for some of the SFT .. 💔

As much as loved SFT here on this page, there are alot which their start of life is sad and their future is unclear. This breed is so overlooked in some countries and loads are dying without knowing what a home feels like 😢💔

Am trying.. am pushing for the ones i know of as this is so unfair. These bunch were born in this world and poor babies no one seems interested and wanting to give them a loving home.

I already posted their story in this group but no luck 😢

Now they are 6 months old. X3 girls x1 boy. SUPER ADORABLE 🥰.

They are currently in Malta 🇲🇹 but we can help with transportation.
