You will never know....or maybe you already know, how painful it is losing your pet. My heart is still heavy after losing Josie. I want one in the worst way and find myself in tears when I see dogs. My husband is adamant about not getting another pet. He loved Josie with all of his heart but he finds it devastating when we lose it. I think that for this reason he just cant bear going through this again. Should he ever change his mind, I would be at an adoption agency faster than you could blink. Unfortunately that isn t going to happen, which is another heartbreak. Love your pets with all of your heart because when you get older you may not be able to adopt again.
