🎉 NEW for 2025! We will be opening our 6th training venue in beautiful Teddington, TW11 🎉

💁🏼‍♀️I’m also thrilled to be welcoming back my wing gal Kaitlin who will be running these classes on Saturday lunchtimes (whilst I’m teaching over in Walton 😅). Kaitlin took some time out over the past year to set her own classes up in Notting Hill which are proving hugely popular and I’m delighted to be collaborating with her once more 🐶🐾🙌🏻

Our Teddington classes start on Saturday 25th January at 13:30 and bookings are NOW OPEN! ‼️‼️

💜💫 Super proud of Albert who has successfully passed his visiting therapy dog award 💜💫

I’m especially proud of him for achieving this in spite of all his medical issues earlier this year which meant we had to press the pause button on his training until he was fully recovered. We picked things back up when he got the all clear in July and he nailed his in-person assessment just recently 💫

What qualities and skills was Albert assessed in? ⬇️

🐾 his general temperament and disposition
🐾 sensativity to noise, novel items, human interaction, dog disengagement
🐾 polite & calm greetings (no jumping-up)
🐾 intermediate obediance training (equivalent to the Silver Kennel Club Good Citizen Award)

I was also externally assessed as his handler to verify that we are a suitable working team and able to communicate with one another effectively and safely ✅

This was the last part of our therapy dog training journey together after a busy year for me starting formal assessments and training myself too - I feel it’s always super important to experience training from my client’s side and knowing how nerve wracking these assessments can be means I’ve 100% got my clients’ backs when we’re working through the same process with your own dogs 🐕‍🦺🐾 It also means I know just how rewarding an experience training your dog for therapy dog work can be ☺️

🙌🏻 Huge congrats to our Cobham dog first aiders who certified yesterday and are now all CPD accredited for the next 3 years 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It’s so humbling to meet such kind and responsible people when we run our courses - everyone is there giving up their afternoon to learn how to save dogs lives and it’s so rewarding to know that we are sending more pairs of equipped dog first aid hands out into the world! 🌍

Advocating for our dogs is one of the biggest gifts we can give them, whether they are our own or ones in our professional care - so THANK YOU to everyone who attends our courses, you are all AWESOME ⭐️🤩💫

Have you ever wondered what the recipe for a great therapy dog is 😂 well here you go! Therapy Dogs come in all shapes and sizes and there is no such thing as the perfect ‘breed’ of therapy dog. If your dog has has these core characteristics and they may well make a wonderful Therapy Dog! Providing they want the job of course 😉💜🐾

I used to get excited about opening boxes from ASOS….now I get excited about opening boxes of freshly made to order dog training rosettes 🤣

How beautiful are they though? I can highly recommend Pam at Rainbow Rosettes for any other dog pros out there, she’s been producing my rosettes for me for over 7 years now and ALWAYS gets them out to me on time and in beautiful condition….💯

Cannot wait to present these to my last two Juniors groups of 2024 in November 💜🤍🖤 Walton is full but I have ONE SPACE LEFT on my Hampton course starting next Weds at 18:30….send me a DM for more details 🐾

Held at the Arts Centre.

NEXT SATURDAY: 14 September 11am - 4pm at The Barn Arts Centre, The Cecil Hepworth Playhouse - Theatre For The Community and St Mary's Church Walton Parish part of Heritage Open Days Walton-on-Thames Heritage Day

So many amazing talks, tours, workshops to take part in, plus live music from We Are The Voice Children's Environmental Choir, Walton Voices and others. Local business & community stalls with entertainment hosted by Radio Wey.

Fun Dog show judged by Lady & The Hound with prizes from Dogs Deli - registration 1.45pm, starts at 2pm.
