Can't bring your pet(s) with you but not sure about boarding? Worried that nobody will take as good care of your fur baby as you do? Let me stay with your dog, cat, bird, rabbit, fish, turtle, lizard, or whatever other animal(s) you may call family. Having me stay in your home with your pet makes for an almost worry-free trip. Your pets schedule stays the same as if you are home, they receive all

of my attention, and I am around to take care of other household needs. Not only do I love my clients pets as much as I love my own cat, but I have worked in shelters, a vet, and a groomer, so my experience with animals is pretty extensive. If you feel like you've been seeing this same fuzzy face a lot lately, it's because David and I adopted her at the beginning of the month!! We are over the moon in love with our little Izzy! That being said, my overnight services will be a little more limited going forward, especially the first half of the year while we work on adapting and training! So, if you're planning your 2024 travel, make sure to book ASAP!! I'll have my calendar in front of me all afternoon 🙃

Blue skies today but it's officially and there's already something to watch in the gulf!! I encourage everyone, but especially my clients who are traveling this summer, to have the following prepared for each of their pets! In the event that a hurricane hits, you and your pets may need to evacuate and/or may be without power for days or even weeks! NEVER leave your pets to fend for themselves during a hurricane!

For each pet you should have the following:
-enough food and water for at least a week
-medication and supplements for at least a week
-properly fitted collars with tags for dogs and cats
-properly fitted harness and leashes for dogs
-carrier for cats
-litter box, scoop, plastic bags, and extra litter for cats
-toys and other comfort items
-updated microchip info
-medical records
-recent photos of you with your pets

Chances are, you (or your dog) started hearing fireworks last night- I know I did! So hopefully this advice isn't coming at you too late! To keep your pet safe during the festivities this weekend, consider the following :

🍖Keep dangerous decor, fireworks, and food away from your beloved pet!
🐾Ensure your pet has on a tag with your phone number in case they escape! Many pet stores are open today where you can go have one made for pretty cheap but you could also just use a sharpie to write your phone number on their collar if you don't have the time/funds to have a tag made!
🐈Provide plenty of exercise and enrichment for your pets during the day this weekend, so that they are relaxed and tired in the evenings!
🐩Take dogs out to go potty right before it gets dark and then wait till late, after the fireworks are over, to take them out again!
🐈‍⬛Turn on the tv, radio, or a sound machine to soothe your pets and block out the bangs!
🐕Give pups a kong filled with a frozen treat or lick mat to keep them occupied and happy during the fireworks!
