The 2022 Space Coast Police K9 competition and trials was a blast!!! Over 35 K9 teams from across Florida came out to compete to be Top Dog!!!

HDK9 was proudly represented out on the field with our K9decoy Justin!!

Did you know that January is Walk your dog Month?

For most dogs walks are an enjoyable experience and we can actually make it more interesting for them if we go on Sniffari from time to time.

It doesn't have to be every walk but we can incorporate some parts of a SNIFFARI into our normal walks.

You can do this by:
1. Giving you dog time to sniff when they find something interesting
2. Let them decide which direction you are going to start your walk.
3. Take a little detour to a spot you know your dog loves to go to check out all the p*e mails!!

Important info

Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Please be safe with your dogs!
