It is an honor for us to support causes that benefit our communities, especially those causes that aren’t always openly recognized, and encourage others to help as well. This is certainly one of those causes.
Arson detection is an important element to keeping our neighborhoods safe, while helping to alleviate fraud due to fire losses in homes and businesses. Having a K-9 partner, trained in all aspects of detection, is an invaluable tool toward achieving this end goal.
We have partnered with Troy Clements, out of Pike Township, and the Indiana Fire Investigation Task Force, by placing a fireman’s boot in our lobby, for both clients and the general public, to collect donations for this effort. Any amount will help Troy in reaching his goal, and Healthy Paws has committed to matching all donations up to $2,000.
If you are not in the vicinity, but would still like to help, you can send a check to the clinic, made out to: Indiana Fire Investigation Task Force, and reference “K-9 Fund” in the notes. Today is the day we celebrate our dogs. This day was founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige and is a celebration in hopes to raise awareness about dog adoption as well as the importance of providing our rescue dogs with a safe home. We celebrate dogs of all breeds and all backgrounds. Lets see pics of your babies! Stories welcomed as well!!

If you need medication refills or an appointment, please understand (after a holiday weekend), our staff is working their hardest to address all of the messages. This may take time and we ask for patience and grace from our clients.
Urgent patients will be addressed first on July 5th. Again, if your pet is experiencing an urgent issue or an emergency, please do not wait until July 5th to seek care.

November is National Senior Pet Month. Post a photo of your senior pet along with their name, age, and favorite activity!
We had a small setback last Friday am, however, we are always prepared! Jazzy stepped in and took over. enjoyed her day off but was back on the road Halloween morning for a housecall for a special client. We are booking for established clients with the potential of new clients going forward. works best for appointments that include, but not limited too, routine wellness appointments for one pet or multiples, simple medical appointments (she travels with Marsha the microscope), acupuncture/herbal therapies for our patients who benefit more from in home care and end of life care. 's greatest attribute is her willingness to help accomodate our individual patients' needs.
Have you met ? Fern joined HPAH in 2020 and although she hasn't met many new clients, she has visited some of our established patients in their home for at home veterinary care. We hope to increase adventures in the upcoming months. She typically works part time currently but would like more hours.
