Our Mission
COMMANDO CATS & CANINE RESCUE, is created under the authority of AFI 34-223, Private Organization (PO) Program. This private organization is classified as an independent organization. The purpose of this private organization is to increase morale and esprit-de-corps among Cannon AFB families. The objectives of this private organization is to support Cannon AFB families in non-mission related morale building activities. To include providing animal rescue support, education of proper vaccinations and spay/neuter. Rescue support will help members of the Cannon AFB family to re-home their cats or canines. Members PCSing who are unable to take their animals with them will be the first priority. The goal will be to have a facility located on Cannon AFB that will house cats and canines. This facility will be an adoption/transition center. The facility will be open to the community during certain hours. Members will be able to adopt a cat or canine. We will also work with other rescue groups to transport animals to other rescues.
