The orphan kitten’s name—chosen by her foster mom—is Ostara. It means Spring, dawn, and is related to the word “Easter.”
Thanks for all of the name suggestions. There were some excellent ones in the mix. In fact. They were all excellent. We now have plenty of names to choose from for other, little, no-name kittens that come our way.
Dilute calico Ostara is thriving! Her eyes are beginning to open, and she’s an enthusiastic eater and paw waver.
See you at the Kitten Shower tomorrow. Save Ostara a cat-nip mouse. Right now she’s about the size of a cat-nip mouse, but she’ll grow into it.

Tyler and Harlow are very best friends. Tyler and his feline sister, Vergie, were adopted with the purpose of Harlow growing up with animal companions. Harlow has a soft, gentle demeanor towards animals, and Tyler is very mellow as well. It couldn't have worked out any better!

Here is Sofie’s birthday video. For some strange reason, I couldn’t it it to load earlier, but here it is now. Yay!
The birthday girl is looking great. She’s lost close to 10 lbs. in the past year. She should write a book—Sofie’s Diet Secrets. It would sell like hotcakes. She looks wonderful.
