Session #7:

Due to the weather forecast, she got turned out for six days, put back up in the corral last night and today was session #7 , not having any handling since session 6:

Haltering took about 2 minutes in the large area, no need for putting her in the small space for haltering today - leading both directions and through the gate, FIRST tie session (30 minutes) absolutely no nonsense, one slight pull , felt pressure, that was it , relaxed rope thereafter and standing quiet and relaxed (even sleepy!). Untying, recatching, moved back to her area, entire mane comb out and braids today, full body brushing both sides and handling her left front.
Lots of face scratches after being unhaltered before she decided to meander off.

💕Amazing 💕

Session #6

Wow. Inconsistency is not ideal HOWEVER, this mare has not had a session since last week 😳 and the change is already beginning!!

Today was haltering, leading, leading forward through gate- initially a challenge, but no hiccups after, lunging both directions, second backing session, introduction to the brush, brushing down both front legs and sides to hip and past hip on the left side , she thoroughly enjoyed brushing! Lots of desinsitizing today and she's becoming a solid partner! I love her expression after a session - she really thinks 💕 today once unhaltered she stood for several minutes absorbing attention rather than walking off.

Another amazing mare 💞

Session # 4

Second haltering with amazing ease, leading circles in the round pen both directions, backing up for the first time today (amazing!!), handling both sides to just past her shoulder, rope desinsitizing , a full day of learning, accomplishment and retaining a calm atmosphere
