My husband and I are trying to adopt a little Frenchie to give Théodore a brother. We did not realize how difficult it is to adopt from Rescue organizations in the US.
We moved to France in 2021 to take care of my mom. We bought a beautiful home but two short weeks after we signed on our home, mom left us so we had to move and sell our home in the US.
When in France, I was so crushed of having lost my old bullies one by one plus mom, my brother got my a three month old Frenchie we named Théodore Tennessee. He brought joy and made our house so alive. Tt moved back with us to the US in December of last year. He flew solo and was a champ.
Before Tt and our bullies Lucie, Henry and Darling, I grew up among great Danes (I was born and raised in France). My parents had five danes over time. We had Ivan, Nanga, Ramses, Charlie and Lucky.
My husband and I had in our 34 years together: Five Mainecoons (Stubby, Patachou, Zola, Rousseau and Flaubert); we also had 3 boxers, Charlemagne, Napoĺéon and Joséphine. We then got our first British bulldog, a 4 month old rollie pollie we named Lucie. Lucie had two litters and from the second one, we kept Henry and Darling. Lucie passed away in 2019, and a short month later Darling passed as well. Henry, aka Hennie booboo held the fort for me, I was so crushed. Henry also departed in December of 2020.
Having pets has been wonderful for us and our daughters. Now all grown up, our girls have cats and dogs of their own. I am ready for a Frenchie to come into our life and be Tt's best friend. Crossing fingers BNWH approves us.
Apart from it all, we also owned 🐎.
Best,
Nathalie
