Muskoka Hospice played a comforting part in helping me say goodbye to my mom this past July. It has also been there during the passing of several other family members and friends over the years. This year, all proceeds collected from the “sale” of wristlets will be donated to Muskoka Hospice. Stop by the Riverside Craft Show on Nov 9th & 10th to pick up a key fob wristlet and help support this important part of our community.

This is Dottie or DottiePottie.com as I call her. She’s my parents’ new foster fail from the Bracebridge SPCA. They got a call from the SPCA to see if they would foster her as she was injuring herself at the shelter out of anxiety of being there. She came to them in November with cuts and scratches on her face and a hole in her cheek from the cage that she was biting. She’s learning to trust again. She has seperation anxiety. She’s come so far already. Today I am dog sitting her so my parents can go down to Barrie today together. They haven’t been away from her at the same time since they got her. She’s settling down and she’s quite the little model. What a face!

“Your collars clean up so nice!” I love hearing this comment. Just a simple and gentle scrub with an old tooth brush and some dish soap can really do the trick! Of course you can always throw them in the washing machine!

Sweet Chance hasn’t been himself for a few days now. $250 vet appointment later he has some pain meds to make it to the $925 xray appt next Wednesday. They believe it’s a spinal injury:(

Animal Lovers!! A friend educated me on Bill C-275. At first, my research made me think it was a good thing but “if you read any SPCA website or animal welfare organization (also rights and activists webstite...as for once they seem to be all on the same page) It's an anti gag law that will prohibit any public person to expose cruelty and neglect. This one explains it from a non-farmers (who are favoured by government)
Farm animals are at risk the most, and they are already living the worst lives on the planet. “

Thank you everyone that supported me this weekend at the Riverside Craft Show as well as my efforts to raise money for Carter’s Rescue in Bracebridge:) I loved visiting with everyone that came through my booth:) Together we raised $200 to help care for dogs at Carter’s! Way to go!!

George and Bruce are looking so handsome in the gear their Pawrents got for them today! Thank you for another great Saturday! If I didn’t get to see you today, I hope to see you tomorrow! The Riverside Craft Show is open 10-3 tomorrow! So far we’ve raised $155 for Carter’s Rescue! That’s awesome!
