As a thank you for helping and caring for them, my mum bought us this gorgeous little staffy today. As soon as I saw it I fell in love with it. It made me think of our beautiful Dexter though it is more like Ciara. Isn't he just the cutest?? 💙🐾

A bittersweet day. 15 years ago today our beautiful angel came into our lives & made herself completely at home when we adopted her at 3 years old! She gave us so much love, laughter & joy.

Today is a bitter-sweet day. While I have wanted to commemorate the memory of my beautiful Ciara, whose memory I felt was overshadowed last year after Dexter’s surgery, now this year two years on now shares the day with Dexter who gained his wings two years to the day after her. While she gained hers at 3pm on this day in 2021 Dexter gained his about 45 minutes earlier this afternoon.

Now on this day every year I can commemorate the memory of both my babies whom I love and miss every second of every day. And I grieve all over again for them both. But grief is the price we pay for love. 💔💙

To my poppet and my little fruit vat...I loved you then, I love you now and I'll love you always. 💙🐾



It's my first day in heaven,
And what a beautiful place,
You'll be glad to know,
There's a smile upon my face,
The moment I left you,
Two angels in white,
Carried me up here,
To heaven that night.

All those stories you hear ,
About rainbow bridge are true,
But you don't walk over it,
The angels carried me through,
There's a gate at the end,
Made of pearl,
It has got to be the biggest gate,
In the world!

Once I got in and started looking around,
You just won't believe all the things that I found!
The first place they took me,
Had to be the most fun,
A humongous field,
With miles to run!

Once I was tired the angels said,
We'll take you to your home,
But first we need to stop by this place
Full of tasty bones,
They told me to take one with me,
But one is all I need,
Because every good thing lasts forever,
Up in heaven you see,

They took me to my new house,
It took my breath away,
Most beautiful place I've ever seen,
With a huge yard to play,
They said come on lets go inside ,
And have a look around,
They took me to the bottom floor,
You won't believe what I found,

The bottom of my house is a window
And you won't believe the view,
See my house it sets right over yours,
So I can still keep an eye on you!
I was so worried about you,
When I went away,
Now I can watch you every second,
And know that you are okay!

I can't wait for that moment,
When we can walk around this place,
And I can cover you with puppy kisses,
On every inch of your face! ❤️❤️❤️

I have followed Retired Police Dog Stella the Staffie for a while now and she won my heart not just for being a staffy or successful rescue to become a police dog. But because she is the image of my beloved Ciara who we lost coming up two years this September.
Ciara on the left & Stella is on the right. They could be twins.

Today, my beautiful Ciara would have been 18. As always, I commemorate her special day with a cake (made of tuna and sweet potato) and blueberries 🫐 to mark her age. And I burn a candle in her memory. 🕯

Happy birthday at the Bridge, my darling girl. We love you and miss you forever. 💙🐾

Eighteen months ago today, as she laid in my arms our beautiful Ciara gained her wings and left a huge hole in our lives and hearts. For thirteen years, she had brought us so much love, laughter and so much joy just by being a part of our lives. My heart aches for my beautiful girl who would have been 18 in just four weeks time. And I miss her more than I could ever have imagined.

Ciara, you brought us so much love, so much joy and so much laughter to our lives that we will never be the same for having known you and now having lost you. Loving you changed our lives and losing you did the same. I will never ever forget you, poppet. You were everything to me and I miss you so so much. I loved you then, I love you now and I will love you always.

Gone from our lives but never from our hearts. Always and forever, poppet, until the end of time.
