Moose 🐾💙After a 7 day residential stay, Moose is off home after learning lots of new things, desensitising to heavy traffic and loud noises, working with lots of other dogs & people, conquering his fear of going over the agility equipment, working around lots of environmental things to increase his confidence and make him a much happier and balanced boy. Teaching a dog to be more confident is way more difficult as you have to ADD a behaviour which wasn’t already there and it’s a much slower process. Reining in a bolshy or cocky dog means the confidence is already there, we just need to adjust and moderate the behaviour. Be happy Moose 🫶🏼🐾💙

Excuses don’t help your dog. Training does!!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️
A reactive dog isn’t a lost cause, leaving them untrained is unfair to both the dog and everyone around them. Blaming strangers, other dogs or the environment won’t fix the problem. Training gives your dog the tools to cope, gives you the confidence to handle them, and transforms stressful outings into positive experiences. Invest in their growth instead of making weak excuses because you can’t be arsed! Whether it’s force free or balance training, get it sorted. Your dog (and the world around you) will thank you! 👊🐾Rant over, Happy Thursday 🥰

We will be closed on Friday 29th August - 1st September for our few days of annual leave. If you have any emergency issues & your dog “suddenly” needs urgent help then we will try to respond if we aren’t half way through a bottle of gin or in a different county 😎🍸🐾

Tracking for human scent articles with Monty & Brynty 🐾👏The dog has to follow the trail of human scent to find the article. A dog’s nose can detect scents at concentrations as low as one part per trillion. Scent work encourages focus and problem solving, which helps anxious dogs relax. Shy or insecure dogs gain confidence when they “find” something successfully, since it gives them a sense of accomplishment. When you’re working as a team with your dog it gives you a much better line of communication 🐾🫶🏼
