Been asked often when do u start training my pups? At what age i allow they to go to their new homes? What do i do with my pups etc? . For me imprinting the pups the right way is my first priority, it’s very hard to say from a very young age what pup is best for what purposes, this is why breeders end up selling their best pups just because they after that quick cash. If u are a back yard breeder and making quick cash is your goal then this post doesn’t concern you IMO☝🏾! Everything you do with your pup and how frequent you did might change the course of that specific pup with that said you have a great responsibility when raising your pups, when we choose we take time to see which pup has high drive and which ones the potential to develop it, those most of the times are good for work and sport purposes. Then u have those ones who are not interested at all in such things as pray drive, biting, chasing no name it. Does not mean that pup is a bad puppy it means it is more suitable for a person who has no intention in doing any type of work with the dog ,but hey don’t get me wrong it is and remains a dog so some things are wired in the pups DNA 🧬 nevertheless it’s important to exhibit short sessions on a daily base to see which ones are suitable for certain purposes! . This is how i do it , in the end everyone is free to apply their own methods as long you know what your doing and where you want to head with that pup🙂 . In this video you can see the pups eating, this is a Belgian Malinois litter from some years back, all pups are thick and knows how to eat, no messing around and spilling food. When they done eating I always give the left over to the mom and allow them to drink some milk from the mom while she eats the puppy left over. Another question i hear often is : “Why is it that my pup’s doesn’t has drive?” - Well like in my previous post i always explain that genetics is the key role when it comes to drive. Pray drive is something almost every dog gets born with, the desire to chase something ,yet through selective breeding you can either diminish this or enhance it. Why i say this is because if u put two Random dogs together just based on their looks u can’t expect to get the best out in the aspect of character. So that means be aware of what u are breeding to each other.
