5 Bucks!
What a treat this morning while eating breakfast! Looking out my window and seeing five bucks! I’m pretty sure these babies were born under my trees here because when I go outside, they don’t run and they all seem to know me but when somebody else comes out they start to take off.
Boots vs mama deer
It’s baby deer season! Mama is checking out Boots and Brie. This is Boots’ first visit close up with one of the deer, and since he’s a graduate of Gina’s training camp, I allowed him to bark at her a few times before calling him off so that she knows that Boots can’t get to her, and vice versa.
4 of the 7 have had their babies in the last week. They’ll be bringing them to meet me soon. Mama wants to make sure that her little baby will be safe. Yes, for sure from me and my pack, but not so safe from the humans driving on the new roads that used to belong to them.
Training works!

Choose calm over chaos….Especially when you have more than one dog, or two, or three, or four🙂!
Keshlan and Hazel
These two can’t get enough of each each other! See that sand… That used to be all grass.
Thanksgiving for Hazel, Lexi, and Keshlan.
A special moment in time- watching dogs having fun with each other.
Fun time!
Having fun with last weeks guests. Two other big kids are inside the house taking a break, but Keshlan loves playing with the little ones so he’s never too tired for some more fun!
Bailey, Bailey, Keshlan and Danny in the background.
Nothing makes me happier than to see them all having fun :-)
Had a little get together on Sunday with some of the big kids. After just five minutes of playing time, it’s H2O and relaxation time! Then back inside, where it’s cool 🙂 and Pinot the white Siberian husky, came into the shot a bit late but she’s there too!
Harry’s first time seeing deer
Bailey helping me teach 12 week old Harry to be calm around the deer.
Two older dogs teaching the young one that she gets no attention while she’s jumping.
Cubby, I only knew you for a short time but your fun loving poodle nature will live long in my mind. You were a special boy that loved sharing your happiness. Thank you for the moments of love and life you brought to Gina’s Place.
We will miss you Cubby RIP ❤️
This is Fiona’s first vacation at Gina’s Place, and here comes Brie who is here for two weeks.
And then a minute later ❤️
This is 11 month old Hazel here for the weekend and meeting Keshlan for the first time. Check out the calming signals that she is using with him. I will be posting a PDF of ‘On talking terms with Dogs’ which lists all the calming signals dogs use with other so that you can recognize them and you can use with your dog as well.
