Strider Kirk

Strider Kirk Momma made this page for me so that all of my friends can follow my progress. I loves everyone who is so nice to me and wants me to get better.

Strider is about six years old or so. He had obviously belonged to someone and was not a feral cat. However, he was either dumped on the street or somehow escaped his home and lived on the streets of Birmingham, AL for an unknown amount of time. In late 2016 he was found by Polly, a vet tech at a local clinic. At that time he was terribly thin, had almost no hair, and his skin was all dry and scal

ey. He was treated at the clinic Polly worked at but during his evaluation it was discovered that he apparently has either terminal leukemia or lymphoma. So he was put up for hospice adoption to give him a loving home for however long he has left. My husband and I adopted him in December 2016 and he quickly wormed his way into our hearts. There is nothing he loves more than food than being in a lap for hours at a time and getting his petting and loves. He has gained some weight and now has a coat that is at last becoming soft and shiny. He seems to feel OK other than being tired all the time, and he is happily engaged in what is going on around him. Strider has lots of friends who are always anxious to hear the latest on him so this page was created for them to follow his progress.
