I offer in-home training and specialize in fixing problem behaviors stemming from both ends of the leash. Aggression, fear, anxiety, and excitability are all taught to our dogs by human interaction, and sometimes the lack of. Dogs will learn regardless of what we as owners do. Both direct engagement and indirect engagement play roles in their abilities to survive and succeed. Now whether that succ

ess is in our best interest or our dogs, will depend on how our dog perceives our relationship. I am here to help guide new dog owners as they raise their pups to become the best companion they can be. I also am here for the late starters who need direction in order to better themselves and their dogs. Let's build communication, trust, respect. Let's gain clarity in our relationships with our dogs and ourselves alike. Only when we can accept our own faults, learn from the experiences, and change our ways will our dogs accept us as leaders. With dedication and drive to be better, both for ourselves and for our pets , we can achieve the impossible. There are exceptions to everything but there is more potential to your relationship with your dog than you may know. All you have to do is be open to change and willing to put in the work. Reach out to me if you would like more information. With 15 years of experience raising and handling dogs, I have learned a lot. Started by fostering dogs and working with shelters to help train and ready dogs for new homes. Then I went on to work at a boarding facility. During that time I started bathing dogs and slowly transitioned to grooming. I left and began grooming on my own and for various shops. During this time I encountered so much problematic behavior from the dogs I worked on. I worked mainly on large powerful breeds and double coated breeds. I always was intrigued by how their characteristics reflected their owners habits. I dove deeper into animal behavior and focused on the more difficult dogs to groom and handle. After years of learning how to better communicate with these animals and problem solve my own personal issues I decided to go further. Now I pride myself in being able to rehabilitate the bond between dog and handler.

Jomei just turned one year old recently. We are working to refresh his obedience and instill some manners. He is supposed to work as a service dog. Due to unfortunate circumstances, his owners have not been able to stay consistent with his progress. He would rather play than work. Here, he is learning to respect boundaries and building on some basic skills like impulse control. This will be a foundation for furthering his ability to work and learn more advanced techniques in the future.

Have a safe and happy New Year everyone! Be sure to keep your dogs secure so they can't escape during the fireworks. For those with puppies, this can be a perfect opportunity to show them that loud noises aren't the end of the world! Just be sure to use proper equipment when handling them. A slip lead or Martingale collar will prevent them from getting away. Harnesses can easily be backed out of resulting in a lost pet! Have fun with your furry companion and let them enjoy bringing in the new year with you since you are their world! Only try this if you are confident in your ability to manage your dog's Behavior. Good luck and have fun!

Also, let welcome Archie to our puppy training program! He is a 9 week old golden retriever. He is super rambunctious and willing to fight for his right to party! We will be working with his owners to help mitigate his excitement and demanding Behavior.

Happy holidays everyone! I haven't posted in a while so I figured I'd let everyone know how much I appreciate your support and business! I hope you all stay safe and enjoy the holidays with family and friends 🤗

Recently Bella has started training with us. She's a rescue from Guadalupe County . Bella has a lot of excitability around other dogs and likes to harass the cat that lives in her new home. We plan to build structure in her life and help her owners become the best leaders they can be in order to create peace in their home and help Bella respect personal space. She is very intelligent and has lots of potential to be a great part of the family!
