Ahoy hoy Dutchman lovers! As demand for special events and catering has decreased and my family is growing, I've decided to close The Frying Dutchman business. It's been a total blast and I've loved every minute of it - from that time that we took back our lemon tree from Shelbyville and when I wore an onion on my belt (which was the style at the time) - oh, wait that's all from the Simpson's...anyway, there really has been a lot of good memories and I've met a lot of good people along the way. I want to thank everyone for all of the support you've given me. There really is still a demand for a vegan food business here (as attested to by the almost daily calls I get from people still asking if I'm open) and I would challenge anyone who is thinking about starting up a vegan food business to throw your ring around the chimney and get to it. Although this post is painful to write, it's not as bad as getting a football to the groin. Be kind to each other, be kind to the animals and I'll smell ya later.

Ahoy hoy! FDM was looking forward to another year of Vegfests, Farmer's Markets and special events but 2020 seems to be shaping up differently. I think we'll see everyone again in the summer of 2021! Stay Safe and Stay Positive. Smell ya later!

Moon Pies are back baby!!! Come to the Muskoka North Good Food Coop on Thursday from 5-7 and try amazing creations from Lettie’s cheese and my new jackfruit tacos or get a moon pie. What a time to be alive!!!

Sadly due to the way life sometimes unfolds, we will NOT be at Sessions Muskoka Craftbeerfest tomorrow. Unfortunately the odds were just stacked against us and we’ve decided the best thing to do is regroup and put all of our efforts into the upcoming Muskoka Vegfest on August 10. Everyone have a safe and happy long weekend!

Hi-diddly-ho Neighborinos! 2019 is going to be an exciting year of change for The Frying Dutchman Co. As many of you have noticed, there is no food truck at our normal location in Huntsville. This year we are going to try a different approach and instead of having a truck at a specified location, we are going to be coming to events near you with a farmer's market style set up. This wasn't exactly my plan for the year but as life comes at you, you've got to adapt. I absolutely love seeing all of you and serving my delicious vegan creations and this is the best way for the business to continue in the absence of the truck.
