Update: we are on our way home finally. Hashbrown is uncomfortable but came through the surgery pretty well.
I was shocked when I saw the surgical site. It looks amazing and so much less invasive than expected. My little guy has a LONG recovery ahead but I should have known that Dr Joel at Ebensburg Animal Hospital is the best and Hashbrown would get the best care.
I will update along the recovery with pictures but for now…. We are starting recovery mode.
Thank you to all who donated and prayed. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Now we just gotta get through the long & icy drive home…

5am and we are out the door to head to Ebensburg Animal Hospital.
Of course it had to be on a day where the roads are not the best but thankfully we have my husband, Dave, as our chauffeur this morning.
Keep Hashbrown in your thoughts today for his surgery and my husband and I for safe travels.

Hi.. my name is Patches. I am a Merle ShiPoo because someone thought It was smart to breed 2 high strung dog breeds and sell them.
I was from a puppy mill and I didn’t get as much socialization as I should have but that isn’t my fault. I really want to be a good girl and once I know you, I am the best. I get attached to my humans and other animals but it just takes a little time for my awesome personality to shine.
I am just a little girl of about 15 lbs and I am 2-3 years old. I am housebroken and do good with other animals. I do not want little kids around because they move too fast and are unpredictable. I will require a fence. I am also a young dog so please take that into consideration when applying. Will you be able to care and love me for the rest of MY life. I will require grooming as well.
