As the snow falls in Pittsburgh, meet Sunny, the fluffiest ray of sunshine you’ll ever find! This 1-year-old, 16-pound Havanese-Bichon mix is as bright and cheerful as his name. With his white, cloud-like coat, he blends right in with the winter wonderland but will warm your heart no matter the weather.
Sunny is neutered, housebroken, and the perfect gentleman—he hasn’t chewed a single thing in his foster home, even with plenty of freedom. He’s got typical puppy energy, loves to play, and gets along with all dogs. A home with another pup to romp with would make him extra happy! His vet even called him “one of the sweetest dogs she’s ever seen!”
If you’re ready to bring a little sunshine to your snowy days, Sunny is ready to light up your life. Apply to adopt him through Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh today! 🌟🐾 www.animallifelinepgh.org
✨ Let it snow, let it glow—Sunny's here to warm your heart! ✨

I want to thank everyone who came for Pictures with Santa yesterday. We were lucky to get a wonderful professional photographer to volunteer this year. Of course, we are also grateful that Santa and Mrs Clause and our elves took time from their busy day to be with us as well. These are my quick photos that I snapped from the sidelines and I will share the real photos this week when the photographer sends them out.
Holiday photo days, whether Santa or the Easter Bunny, is my favorite days at our store. I get to see so many of the pups and their families that are alumni and we meet new friends who share in our love for all pets. My day is always the happiest when I am surrounded by animals and the families who have given them a new beginning❤️🎅🤶
This years Santa pics surpassed all other years in filling my grinchy heart with joy.

EJ went to see Dr Kelly today. He is such a cool man that has a lot of love and life. We are waiting on the results of his bloodwork so we can address any issues he has before he is up for adoption. He is going to make someone a very happy human one day soon❤️❤️

I may be sappy but my heart smiles every time I look at this video. Emma and Chad were surrendered from 2 different worlds but both ended up in the same foster home. Within minutes of meeting, they were best friends.
Babe
Our beautiful Babe is feeling better and more perky everyday❤️.
Thank god for the great care from the veterinarians and for her foster family who have continued that great care🐶
8/20 Update! We sprung her from PVSEC. Normally, I would be hesitant as she is still not doing great but the awesome doctors felt that she wouldn’t eat due to being in the hospital so we agreed to try taking her home to see if she starts eating. As of right now, she hasn’t eaten on her own since atleast Wednesday and I am like a nervous momma hen. She is with a foster that has no chaos (unlike the Manko house of misfits).
Her total was over 10k but she is definitely moving in the right direction and we hope she doesn’t have to return. No definitive diagnosis but she was septic and they are suggesting HGE that had time to do some damage before the start of treatment.
We love Baby and we will continue to provide whatever she needs to get to 100%.
Praying that we have no additional expensive emergencies in the coming months but I do believe that Baby survived because there is a purpose for her on this earth.

Our Story
Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh is committed to helping the animals in need in our own Pittsburgh communities and beyond.
The Ride To Rescue program of Animal Lifeline provides the lifesaving link between overcrowded and/or underfunded shelters where there is no hope and provides transport to shelters and homes where the pet will survive, thrive and be a cherished part of a family. We are a non-profit 501c3 organization that provides our services free of charge as to not further finanacially burden the facilities providing care to the animals in need. Our team of volunteers travel throughout the eastern side of the US to help animals in imminent danger of being euthanized for space in kill shelters and those that have been affected by natural disasters.
Our Rescue Bank and Community Pet Food Bank provides approximately 80,000 lbs of pet food each month to our local rescues that accomplish so much within our communities on very low budgets. Our community pet food bank provides supplemental pet food to families with financial need.
Our Animal Lifeline Thrift Store located at 139 E. 8th Avenue, Homestead, PA 15120 sells great products including household good and clothing at reasonable prices. This both helps the community while 100% of the profit goes to our animal welfare programs.
We depend on private donations and community involvement to support our lifesaving work and all of our programs are volunteer based.
