Austin Dog Rescue is a foster based non-profit organization that saves, fosters and places homeless dogs in Austin and several surrounding central Texas counties. ADR is not a shelter--generous donations and dedicated fosters, all of whom have opened their wallets, their hearts and their homes, provide loving and supportive temporary placement until the perfect forever home is found.

SNOW DAY SNOW DAY!!!!!! Clove was not sure what all the fuss was about until Sabrina got on the trampoline, and then the fuss was suddenly very clear…snow is VERY VERY EXCITING • Clove and Sabrina are both available for adoption!

Our sweet low-rider Cam is home for Christmas! We think it was love at first sight! Cam’s new mom and dad welcomed him home today, just in time to share the magic of the season together. We couldn’t be happier. Just look at those smiles!

Mark your calendars for our upcoming 𝗟𝗼𝘄-𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝘆/𝗡𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 on November 9, 10, and 11! We're teaming up with Animal Balance & Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter to make essential pet care affordable for our community.

🐶 𝗗𝗼𝗴𝘀: $125
🐱 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘀: $75
📍 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter

𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀:
- Drop-off: 8:00 am - 8:30 am
- Pick-up: We’ll reach you via phone or text, likely between 3-5 pm
- 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘴 – all pets must be picked up before the clinic closes.

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
- Pets must be at least 𝟮 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 and 𝟴 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱.
- Fast your pet after midnight before the appointment.
- Bring vaccination records if your pet is current.
- Cats: Each cat must arrive in a 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 (plastic or metal).

You’ll receive aftercare instructions to help ensure your pet’s smooth recovery at home! This is a fantastic opportunity to protect your pet’s health and prevent pet overpopulation. We’re here to help you give them the best care! 🩺🐾

Are you looking for that special someone? Maybe a fella who likes to take it slow but would love to make you the center of his world? Mojo is a sensitive staffy who is incredibly sweet but very shy. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and has blossomed with his foster family - playing with dogs and cuddling as much as he can 🥰. We would love to find Mojo a lowkey home to continue his journey, ideally with another dog or two to make him feel safe. Ollie’s foster describes him as a playful, dog-loving gent! He can be a little timid with new humans, but loves to play and is as handsome as they come. Dottie is desperate for someone to be her friend. Anyone. Little does she know that hoarding over the doorway is basically kitty playtime. Please respect your overlord, Dottie, and you’ll be fine. They need us and we need YOUR support to make it happen.

A local, rural shelter put out a plea for help ahead of the freeze 🥶. They have outdoor kennels with very little protection from the cold for many of their dogs. Our volunteers jumped into action and we were able to place TEN dogs into temporary homes. These pups will be waiting out the winter weather in warm homes. Please bring your dogs indoors and consider reaching out to your local shelter if you are able. There are so many ways to help 💜

Just a few snippets of a very busy day volunteering with the amazing folks @ccactx spaying, neutering, microchipping, and vaccinating cats 🐱 and dogs 🐶! We will be back at it tomorrow. We are SO thankful for your support so we can host events such as these. When breakfast is just too good to be eaten right side up! Freyja and her litter of lovelies are enjoying life in a warm and safe foster home ❤️🐾

Thank you to everyone who shared and donated towards Oliver ❤️ after 24 hrs in his foster home he was rushed back to the hospital with a perforated intestine. He had to undergo an additional surgery and was at risk for sepsis so spent another three days under 24/7 veterinary care. Luckily he seems to be feeling much better today and was able to come back to his foster mom! The expense of two surgeries and a long hospital stay was definitely expected as a way to start 2022 so if you could please donate or share Oliver we would appreciate it! Every dollar donated goes towards saving lives like his and we are hoping to help so many in this coming year!
