How Noel’s Dream Bully Rescue Came To Be . . .

Noel’s Dream Bully Rescue Inc is a registered, nonprofit 501(c)(3) dog rescue located in Waltham, Massachusetts. We are an all-volunteer, shelter-less rescue. As an all-breed rescue we strive to help the underdog. We take pride in rehabilitating those dogs who have had a rough start in life. We focus on local dogs that are surrendered for various reasons and those dogs who are in local shelters.

Founded in 2018 by Andrea Rizzitano, Noel’s Dream Bully Rescue was a long time coming. In 2014, Andrea rescued Noel, a dog from North Carolina, who was believed to be four or five years old at the time. Due to no fault of her own, Noel had a rough life previously, and had been used for breeding and likely as a bait dog at some point. She was as fearful as they come. Luckily, her life changed for the better on that first day that she met Andrea and her daughter Kayanna (then 6). Every day Andrea took steps to build a trusting relationship with Noel through walks, praise and massages. But Andrea soon realized that Noel needed expert training due her severe fear of other dogs and anxiety about everyday noises and experiences in the home. Andrea tried many, many different methods and trainers for Noel and refused to give up until finally she located an expert animal behaviorist and trainer, Lisa Rockland, who worked with Andrea and Noel. Lisa gave Andrea the tools to help Noel blossom into an extremely loving and balanced dog. Since then, Noel has experienced so many things, gone so many places, met so many people and received nothing but love. Noel now spends her days lounging in her bed, playing with her toys or her sister Michaela, and being spoiled by her humans. Everyone that meets Noel loves her, even people that previously did not have warm ideas about bully breeds or pit bull type dogs are won over by Noel’s infectious joy and warm spirit. As Andrea watched Noel’s progression from who she was before to who she became - that transformation has inspired Andrea to help other dogs that are suffering and have never known the love that Noel now does. And thus, Noel’s Dream Bully Rescue was born.
