Mr Mack (Mack-Happy Day)

Mack has a heck of a story. He was stunted so badly from hatch when his parents fed but barely enough to keep him alive. But just after I brought him in to try and turn him around, he met one of the most loveliest of ladies. He was a tiny little mite, I was stressed and doing all I could to turn his struggling little body around and get him to grow. she claimed him right there and then. If he made it through, she wanted him, she didn't care about his s*x, colour or the fact that he was going to be undersized compared to a normal cockatiel. She had a feeling, and she ran with it, cheering him on along the way. Today is Mack-Happy day, Mack joined his new family - every little bit of him is so loved, and his new mum has been so patient waiting for him to be ready.

Betty-Boop, our female Rose Crown Conure.

She was bred in South Australia and is one of the many birds we had flown up to join us here at Betarah. It was a hard task tracking her down as there didn't seem to many females around while we were searching. Betty has been with us now for about 6 years and has just laid her first clutch of eggs - all clear, unfortunately. Hopefully, next season, her and her mate Bear will give us some gorgeous little Rose Crown babies.

Our phone is back online!

Thank you for your patience.

Thankfully we are back online after having to transfer everything to a new phone.

But unfortunately my whole database with every bird we have in our flock and ones that we have bred past and present did not transfer. So now the long tedious job of individual re-entering every bird that went through the system into it again on the new phone.

Somedays I wish I stayed with paper, but then I remember how much longer it took finding info and then there's the fact that a child decided to water my book and half the ink ran meaning data lost for good. 🤦‍♀️

Almost weaned and on the look out for families to join in coming weeks.

These sweet little sun conure girls are people oriented and just want to be in someone's company wherever possible

Please keep in mind sun conures are VERY LOUD birds and despite their lovely temperaments they may not be for everyone or suited to unit lifestyle.
