This month isn't over yet, so I need to type cautiously, but our new January farm family members are 7 (yes seven) Sheep!!

These are a totally new breed of animal for us at the farm, and we are in LOVE. These 7 ladies needed a new home after one of their owners passed away. 1 of the sheep was very friendly right away and the other 6 are in different stages of timidly accepting us, but each of them are very sweet.

We have to gather necessary sheep care supplies, and if anyone would like to help out a bit, we would appreciate it.

We hope you will come and meet our new family members soon!

First off, let me just say it is a lot easier being a farm owner in the spring, summer, and fall. It is just nasty out. Nose running, can’t feel your fingers, sure you are going to die from the wind, kind of days.

We now spend our time playing “what’s frozen & how can we warm it up”. Stuff I never even knew could freeze, freezes, and I’ve become McGyver with 3 matchsticks, some twine and random things I can pick out of the snow.

But fear not, there have been some warm wonderful moments and I’ll cover them next.
