Must be such hard work being in the summer fields with lots of grass 😴🐷
Offering backing, schooling and sales livery on a small private yard for a personalised experience
Must be such hard work being in the summer fields with lots of grass 😴🐷
Both Nelly and Dash were very well behaved to have their teeth done today! Sharp edges gone, they should both be feeling much better ✅
Nelly and Dash both had amazing physio sessions with Amy Stone Veterinary Physiotherapy at the weekend. Both had areas of tension relieved which they both found very tiring so have had a couple of days off afterwards! Looking forwards to getting back on tomorrow and feeling the difference 🥰
At least she looks cute in the snow even if it means I can’t ride 🙃
After being roughed off over winter, Dash is coming back into work and long lined around the tracks beautifully 🥰
Someone was a little excited to be out hacking again and no it wasn’t Angus 🤦♀️
Sunny afternoons are made for taking oversized doggos for walks 🥰
What a difference a year makes! 😍
Well Nelly, it’s been a year! I’m so proud of the horse she’s turning into from a scraggly 3yr old to a strong confident 4yr old. Excited for what the future holds 😍
Somehow my school is about the only thing not frozen solid, just a bit frosty on the surface! Nelly enjoyed letting off a bit of steam safely this afternoon 🐎
Cold but beautiful hack for Nelly today! The ground was still very frozen even tho I left it until early afternoon, but Nelly managed to keep her spiciness to a minimum today so we got around safely in one piece 🥰
Dash has been doing lots of groundwork and some hacking recently, but today I brought him back into the school. He tries so hard and is slowly building muscle in the right places for his new career. Good boy Dash! 🥰
Taking bouncy ponies out for happy hacks is what you’re meant to do to fix a bad back right? 🥴
What a horrible, wet, windy, cold day! I made the stupid decision to try hacking Nelly this morning. She was a super star ⭐️ putting up with me dragging her out in this weather. We aborted the mission earlier than planned tho as I realised being soaked through, cold and bracing ourselves from the wind was no fun for either of us. Nelly had a cosy duvet day in her stable to recover tho 🥰
Callie made it known that she didn’t want to be out in it either by kindly breaking the fencing to get out of her field 🤦♀️
I decided Dash could have the day off after getting drenched with Nelly. He also objected to being in the field, by galloping around and slipping over multiple times 🤦♀️😭
I love horses I love horses I love horses 😭😭😭🥶
First little baby clip for Nelly! I can’t stand how fluffy she’s getting, but don’t want to overwhelm her with a full clip just yet 🐴✂️
Sundays are for exploring 🥰
When daylight is a luxury I can’t seem to afford, I have to resort to lunging in the dark. Nelly took to it like an absolute pro so I’m sure I’ll be riding in the dark in no time 😭😂
First ride for Dash today in less than ideal conditions of wind, rain and his old field friends messing around next to the school 🙈. But knowing I’m not getting another day of daylight for the next 2 week I decided to give it a go anyway 😂. This resulted in him feeling like a coiled spring underneath me, hence the lack of forwardness, but he managed to keep it together so I can’t complain for a first ride really 😊
I thought physios were meant to stay warm and dry 🤔
What have I turned my dressage pony into 🙈
Last evening ride on Nelly before the clocks go back 😭. And Dash taking the saddle and long lining like a pro 🤩
Oh Dash 🤦♀️
Windy day for Dash’s first lunge. It took him a little while to grasp the concept and accept that I wasn’t going to stay at his head the whole time! But he got there in the end and was very responsive to the voice 🤩
Nelly was feeling extra spicy with the wind but settled down after a while to put in some super consistent work by the end 😁
Introducing 3yr old Dash (Dash for It). He’s had a lovely 4 month holiday in the field next door after finishing his questionable racing career. Now he’s here for retraining before looking for his forever 🏠
Callie’s first day wearing a bridle 🤩
Back on board Nelly now she’s feeling better and mastering our gear changes and extensions 😍
I think it’s safe to say Nelly’s feeling better 🐎💨
Remind me to lunge first before getting on if she has another week off 😂
Nelly’s feeling a bit sorry for herself after having a bad reaction to her vaccination on Tuesday, so I thought she could have a nice massage from her new pad. Thank you Lisa Gembarska! 🤕
What better to do on a sunny Sunday afternoon 🤩
Waiting patiently for me to put the poles out tonight ⭐️
Nelly’s looking and feeling good following her session with Amy Stone Veterinary Physiotherapy last week. She’s starting to take her neck out more creating a lovely relaxed frame and really working on her topline! 😍
A chilly but sunny hack this morning is the best way to start the day 🥰
Nelly didn’t quite get the memo about having a nice quite walk up the ridgeway, but I can’t complain as she felt amazingly uphill and balanced while passaging down the hill 😂
Dreaming of the Nationals 😍 Good luck to everyone competing 🤩
Nelly’s first ride back after her summer holiday! A bit of a sit tight and hold on kind of ride tonight with escaped racehorses galloping around next door 🙈 but I’m pleased with how she’s come back into work and I’m excited for the future with this one 😍
Wishing you all well in these sad times 💔
I think Nelly approves of her new school 😍
It’s been a busy week with Nelly having her teeth done for the very first time 🦷 and the school surface being delivered 🤩. It’s still not quite finished but the end is finally in sight 🏁
Very excited to say that our school is almost finished being redone! This means that I’ll be able to offer backing/ schooling/ sales livery on a small private yard just off the A34 in Chilton 🤩

Lots going on tonight while I was trying to school Nelly, racehorses galloping around, hay being moved, lawnmowers, the list goes on…. Considering this is only about her 3rd week being ridden I think she coped amazingly well 🥰
Slowly getting stronger and working beautifully, I couldn’t ask for more from this lovely little mare 🥰
Nelly’s first hack! She didn’t put a foot wrong even when we met a big scary bus 🤦♀️ so we enjoyed a wander round the village. Thank you Angus Hawkins for keeping us company ❤️
Nelly got her first set of front shoes on today! I think she was a bit confused about what these strange things on her feet were 😂
Second ride on Nelly today. The ground was still wet and slippery following the rain yesterday so I decided not to lunge her before getting on. Nelly didn’t put a foot wrong! She really is the best behaved 4yr old 😍
First lunge for Nelly after 2 months off to grow and mature. She’s certainly read the handbook and was a total pro from start to finish! Looking forward to the future with this one 🌟
