I was running the drip sprinklers on the orchard today. This big coachwhip came over to get a drink. A welcome site because those field rats like to chew on the drip line.

We had 35 birds in our coops. Ian took the roof off the big coop and destroyed a lot of the barn. The coop was full of debri and every bird was found (alive). The last bird came home 2 days later. Amazing how the chickens weathered 155mph winds.

Just popped the cork on a experimental mango wine Friday night. It was a mango/cranberry/raspberry/vanilla mix. It was a sparkling wine. So delicious!
Now it’s time for a plain red. This is a concord red. Concords are of the grapes primarily from eastern U.S. (old school before wines got big in California).
Black Cherry will be next after the red.

Want to see what the deer will do for you on a unprotected chestnut tree. The tree in the background is protected. the protected tree is full and loaded with chestnuts. Chestnuts and their leaves are co***ne to deer.
