GARFIELD CAN BE ADOPTED FROM THE SOUTHERN OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER IN BARNEGAT, NJ currently located at 20 Collingstown Rd. No application needs to be filled out ahead of time. There are so many cats and kittens now available at this location that all of them will not be posted. Please stop in to meet your new best friend.

Meet GARFIELD! He is a handsome orange kitty who is 1-2 years old. Garfield is a shy boy and may need some time to warm up and become comfortable in his new home.

All available cats at the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have appropriate vaccinations. Please call ahead if you have any questions at 609-978-0127. Stop in daily 1-4pm to meet our many wonderful pets. 🐾

Harley, a 6-year-old golden retriever, needs a home! Recently displaced after a scuffle with the resident dog, Harley is calm, friendly, and loves pets and belly rubs. She’s playful but knows how to relax.

Details:
• Passed all temperament tests
• Did well meeting a tester dog and cats
• Best suited for an adult or older teen home
• Could live with a well-trained male dog with a strong leader
• Available for foster or foster-to-adopt (adoption finalized after observing no behavioral issues)
• Must live within 45 minutes of Jackson, NJ

Harley lived peacefully in her prior home for 6 years. Multi-dog households require plenty of management, and she’d thrive in a structured environment.

Cute little baby Gigi 🥹

Gigi is a sweet Maltese mix waiting for her forever home here at our Eatontown shelter 💘 Gigi was found as a stray and was horribly matted, underweight, and needed a dental badly 😢

Thanks to our amazing medical team at the shelter and our Vogel Veterinary Care Center, Gigi got everything she needed to start fresh ✨ Gigi is around 4-years-young and is a gentle and loving little girl who just wants a snuggle buddy 🫶🏻 Gigi can be a little sensitive with too much handling and also get a little overwhelmed with a lot of people around so she’d love a calm environment with dog-savvy, adult owners ✅ We think Gigi could possibly share her home with another compatible canine who is respectful and mellow 🐶 We are unsure of how she will do with cats.

And don’t forget ‼️ Our Home for the Holidays event starts tomorrow and goes through Sunday! All adult large dogs with us over 30-days will have their fee waived and all cats and kittens are 1/2 off! 🐱🐶

Curly Sue is a 2 and 1/2 year old Doodle mix. She has a beautiful silver and white curly haired coat. She is a very sweet lady with a gentle temperament. Curly Sue is friendly with other animals and may be a great companion for your current family dog. She is a smart girl who appears to know a few commands. She is recommended for a family with older kids. Her perfect home would be with a quiet, kind and loving owner.

Cranberry is a petite, 7 month old Hound-mix. This youngster has a sweet & easy-going personality. He is dog friendly and will do well with kids 10 and older. Cranberry would love a family that will give him daily walks, as well as a fenced yard to sniff around and play in.

Daisy has been so stressed out living in a kennel, so when some very nice people asked to foster her we jumped at the chance! She has been doing fabulously in a home and we can’t wait to find her her forever family. ❤️

Here’s what her foster has to say about her:
“When I picked up Daisy, she was so incredibly anxious, scared, but relieved to finally be out of the kennels. Over the course of the past week, she has really transformed and shown her true loving personality! It may take her a little time, but once she warms up to you she will be by your side at every moment. She loves going on plenty of walks throughout the day and curling up on the couch. She does still have some anxiety, so a quieter home would be ideal. She does not do well in a crate and would probably do best as your only pet. She really is a great dog and anyone would be incredibly lucky to be loved by her.”

We couldn’t say it better than that! Daisy is 7 years young and would love someone who can keep her active. She is housebroken and would love to be your constant companion.
